The Apostate Paul

i've recently come accross 2nd corinthians 12:2 where paul talks about the "third heaven".

did he make this up in an attempt to call other versions of the world false prophecy, or did he somehow know he was in a place called the third heaven where he talked to dog?

he admits only dog knows ,so where did he come up w/the third heaven concept?

If it wasn't inspired writing then he was in fact bearing false witness, creating/inserting a man made concept, thus becoming a false prophet himself? Thanks for any help on this strange/insane topic. As well, is there a JW stance on the levels of heaven? Have lost that memory for some reason.....

The 'Truths' The Watchtower Can't Teach

there are several major doctrines that the watchtower strictly.

holds but cannot publically acknowledge or openly teach.. here are a few:.

1) women are not allowed to have equal authority with men.. their status or rank is secondary and inferior.. 2) homosexuality is evil - they won't condemn it openly, especially.

Too bad they don't have a 'truth in advertising ' law for
religions.

Perhaps if there were one true religion it wouldn't need to advertise, or have detractors, or set itself up for justifiable scrutiny. It would just be obvious and apparent, like no other and above all, have everyone on the planet as a member. Yes, yes I know...stop rolling joints with the Watchtower....just a delusion to consider.

the last time i saw my children the 5 year old brings me a new video tape she wants to watch.

there it was, the story of noah brought to you by none other than the wtbts...needless to say it went right into the trash.

The last time I saw my children the 5 year old brings me a new video tape she wants to watch. It was from grandma. There it was, the story of Noah brought to you by none other than the WTBTS...needless to say it went right into the trash. I've told my parents repeatedly that I want my children having none of it, but they persist. Does anyone else think this is a bit underhanded? Its the same kind of argument I heard time after time about films and music that were not acceptable.

Then:

Me: "But its just a movie...."
Mother: "I said no! Its influenced by demons..."

Now:

Mother: "Its just a cartoon...."
Me: "I said no! Its influenced by demons..."

If only it were that simple. Anyone else have sneaky JW relatives that try to slide in "the truth" on your kids?

Top Five Ways To Annoy WTS at Assembles

i suppose you could annoy the watchtower simply by.

doing the opposite of everything those dreary kingdom.

ministries tell you every year - like let your kids.

1. Eat corn chips/crunchies incessantly during all sessions...

2. Play back all the talks you just recorded and laugh hysterically during intermissions.

3. Pretend to fall asleep and snore loudly during sessions..or in some cases, just fall asleep and let your nasal cavity do the magic....

4. Fake spewing on the seat or in the row w/concealed bag of 2 cups water, multicolored spiral pasta, 1/4 can of mushroom soup....let it
sit all day...will be squishy and ick.

5. M80's in the toilet....

1995 WT CDROM & WinXP

i have tried to install the wt library cdrom under winxp and i cannot get it to run.

i tried all possible combinations available under properties/compatability and the best i can get is "abnormal program termination" error messages.

has anyone been able to get the 1995 wt cdrom to play nice with winxp?

Nathan, I bet its becuase the installer is 16 bit. Check out this article and see if this is the answer. If it is, we might be able to do a workaround as XP does have a Virtual DOS/16bit capability. Please let me know if this helps.
