Who's Painting the Brooklyn Bridge?
by NeonMadman inas i've mentioned here before, i go into nyc at least once a week for business.
recently, when using the brooklyn bridge, i've noticed that it was being painted.
well, today, i was crossing from brooklyn to manhattan, when i noticed a small sign at the beginning of the bridge on the brooklyn side that said "tower ptg".

Funeral For A Molestor
by teenyuck ini just got a call from my mother.
in approximately 1951, jane left the family...just walked out.
i brought up the possibility that perhaps her sisters were hurt that age 16 she walked out on them; just like their mother.

Puffs, you could send a card and spend that money on a nice getaway for yourself instead...heheh...one thing too is you might want to offer to meet them somewhere half way later on, maybe talk about your feelings with the others, have dinner, help each other outside the looming shadow of the bad one...just my thought..hope it encourages if not helps...

Eman, that reminded me of 4th of July and New Years...grrrrr...I grew up in a fairly Hispanic neighborhood and those two times of the year fireworks flowed like manna from heaven...except for dubbies...well I was sneaky/stubborn/smarter than that! I always managed to wrangle a bag of incindiary devices from my friends one way of another. hehe...kind of like my family always making a turkey on or around Thanksgiving...what a crock!

What's the one thing you miss about the WTS?
by Naeblis inthere are times when ilook back fondly on my days in the witnesses, especially when i think on the congregation get togethers we would have every once in awhile (not too often) people from our hall and sometimes others would show up (not too many) and good times were had by all.
this is how the schedule usually went.. 8pm: arrive at the community centre.
8:05pm: scope the room.

Francois: LOL! You must be responsible for over half the "immorality" and "fornication" in the Society! You naughty boy!
syn, that or the steep increase in "new" members of the flock...*L*
I miss the lengthy slide show presentation at elder duh's house when his Bethelite son returned home to regale us with tales of the "good work" they were doing there. click "and this is where we took a dump and read the Watchtower pre-press..."...click.."and this is where we slave away hours each day for Jehovah unpaid!"....click..."here's brother flummery hard at word making new videos for distribution.."....Just shoot me already!

Ah shit!!! Almost as bad as being a JW...
Not much is certain in life — past or present — but we know this much about you: In your last life you were a sultry leopard named Lola. You were a showgirl, with yellow feathers in your hair and a dress cut down to there. You would meringue and do the cha-cha. And one night at the Copacabana (the hottest spot north of Havana), you fell in love with Tony, the handsome bartender. Tony fought Rico (he wore a diamond) for you and won. The two of you grew old and happy together, joyfully dancing your lives away at the club to the soulful tunes of Barry Manilow.

I miss, well not really, but those Texas sisters :) Amarillo district conventions. Especially Friday nights at the Big Texan, I think it's called. Huge steaks.
The Big Texan, home of the 72 ounce steak. If you can eat it all its free...I knew some Texas sisters that were the same way heheheheh

Ozzie I say bollocks to all that flummery! I would go to her graduation anyway. All those years you put in as a parent/chauffer/providor have to have some full circle w/a payoff. If she won't recognize you then she obviously got very little out of her education, especially on the critical thinking dept. All this shunning people and living in a fantasy land will catch up to her eventually. Perhaps it won't be until she's old and you have long since passed, but when the lightbulb comes on you will seem in her mind the bigger man for supporting her at things like graduation, etc...Best of luck to you and the missus...good thoughs from the land o'Texas.
