  New WTS Rules for elders & Child Abusers

  per my uncle who is an elder:.

  anyone who has a criminal record can't have any privileges from now on per the wts.. my conclusions:.

  so what about the child molesters who have abused children who have been disfellowshiped, pardoned, or who have sincerely repented of their wrongdoingsbut the authorities were not notified?.

  2 WITNESSES NEEDED

  here's why children are suffering.... dueteronomy 19:15 says...........no single witness should rise up against a man respecting any error or a sin, in the case of any sin that he may commit.. at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses the matter should stand good.

  16. in case a witness scheming violence should rise up against a man to bring a charge of revolt against him, 17. the two men that have the dispute must also stand before jehovah, before the priests and the judges, who will be acting in those days.

  18 and the judges must search thoroughly, and if the witness is a false charge against his brother.

  I had a discussion with an elder in my cong re this topic. He upheld this policy completely. It was not a very Jesus-like attitude. If Jesus could find ways to get around the law out of mercy and pity's sake...why not the elders?

  I said...so in my case I can't do anything and he said if you have two witnesses you can and I said...yeah but most survivors/thrivers don't have any other witness, that's why they're so alone in their suffering. He didn't care!

  And then the wt tells me my memories aren't reliable because they are 'repressed' and could have been suggested to me! BAH! Find that article on their official site and have a fit like I did!

  Warned about Internet use again!

  so...the km for may has an outline re internet use.

  once again we are admonished to stay away as some sites are deceptive in that they say they promote jw's...but be aware!!

  they actually slander...slander the witnesses.. i can only assume they mean this board and the silentlambs site first and foremost - so if the elders weren't aware of these sites...they are now...the rest of us (barr me) are sitting there enthralled... .

  i posted this on another thread but i know it got buried....i thought it was an important that the jw's on this board hear this.. do you think that bill or any silentlamb would have to resort to such public measures if the wtbts had listened in the first place.

  think about it...these people are putting a lot on the line...do you think they would be going to such lengths to be heard if the wtbts had responded to there more "discreat" pleas for help?

  you are only seeing the tip of the iceburg...they have been trying to get the wtbs to not just hear them but listen to them for years.

  I couldn't help but feel the bile rise just a little....

  But I know where they are coming from - this site can very much put doubt in your mind re your faith and make you THINK....

  Thanx for helping me THINK...it's helped me to analyze my situation and the world around me.

  Oh btw: now they are discouraging us from getting to know our fellow brothers and sisters worldwide...as we can neva be too sure who's who. We should be content to know our local brothers and sisters and spend time with them, encouraging one another. Hmm....doesn't sound like international brotherhood to me. And what if your local hall doesn't want to associate with you until you're clean and have dedicated yourself to Jehovah publicly? Where's the loving assocation for them.

  PICTURES- of my new nephews, TWINS!

  yep..... on may 10, 2002 my youngest sister had her first kid(s) .

  twins they were.....though i cannot tell you at the moment if identical or fraternal.. best part is every one came home ok and in great health.. they were 3 weeks early, and weighted about 5.5 lbs.. names are mexican????

  i think.... unai, and esai.. (don't quote me on the names, i am really bad with that stuff!).

  The Farmer's Donkey

  One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried
  to figure out what to do.Finally he decided the animal
  was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway,
  it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He
  invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
  They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt
  into the well.

  At first, the donkey realized what was happening and
  cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he
  quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer
  finally looked down the well and was astonished at
  what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his
  back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would
  shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's
  neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the
  animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
  Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped
  up over the edge of the well and trotted off!

  Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of
  dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake
  it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a
  stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells
  just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off
  and take a step up!

  Remember these five simple rules of happiness:
  1. Free your heart from hatred.
  2. Free your mind from worries.
  3. Live simply.
  4. Give more.
  5. Expect less.

  SHAKE IT OFF!!
  Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times,
