  i was raised a jw since childhood.

  besides the emotional trauma that comes with being an outsider from the rest of the real world, my father was phsically, mentally and verbally abusive to my 2 younger sisters and i. apparently my mother seemd to be so brainwashed with the ideas of respect for headship and all the other bs she didn't do anything about the abuse.needless to say my father was also an elder, sheperding the flock while at home beating his children senseless.

  after 20 years of this and all 3 children leaving home by the age of 16,something finally clicked in her head.

  Sometimes some of you just don't see that when you're being particularly vicious you're fulfilling the 'false prophets' 'wolves in sheeps clothing' and therefore cementing in the jw's mind that they DO have the right religion.......

  Sometimes you need to think about the consequences of your actions. Strike that. We all need to think about the consequences of our actions.....ALL the time.

  I have a hard time convincing the elders that Dateline aired a story....let alone getting their attention for this one!

  They still don't believe that this sort of thing goes on in the congregation. In my congregation anyway.

  Page 27 Paragraph 2 states:

  All who want God's favour must learn to call upon his name in faith. The bible promises: "Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah WILL be saved" (Romans 10:13). Yes, the name Jehovah has rich meaning. Calling upon Jehovah as your God and Deliverer CAN lead you to endless happiness.

  So what is it: Call on Jah in faith and you WILL be saved or call on Jehovah in faith and you COULD have a chance????
