Upcoming Surgery and Blood

recently i found out i need to have major surgery and the jw's tried to rush a blood card in my hand.
i was so relieved when the elders said i could not have one until i was baptised.. but they rushed to get me copies of the blood videos.

A silly thought on freewill...
by new hope and happiness inthis was mythought on " freewill" and made me think...i need " air" to breath..so how was i born with freewill?.

Actually it's impossible to hold your breath till death. Air is required. Free will is a myth. obey me because you should or burn in hell forever. That's not free will its coersion.
free will is just the obvious. The ability to make decisions. All animals do it, including us. I like your thought. :)

I became an alcoholic my last two years in the org. I couldn't deal with the cognitive dissonance I was experiencing. It was horrible. I wasn't a drunk. I just drank everyday all day. Started in the morning and went till late at night. Somehow kept my job and marriage together and hid it from almost everyone. I used to keep bottles of bourbon and whiskey hidden in places so I could leave the room and take drinks without being seen as an alcoholic. Boxed wine was great too. No one knew when it would it be empty and I could just replace the box as if it never happened. I was spiraling down and suffering from depression that only drinking seemed to help.
Then I decided to get clean and confront my issues. I got some help with meds for the anxiety/depression and stopped drinking. I'm 15 months sober today. Getting out of the cult helped me quit drinking.

Is this new donation arrangement for real?
by nugget injust read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.
congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.
congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

Here is the reaction you will get from loyal witnesses.
All they will hear is that the "loving gubberning body is removing their loan! How loving of a provision from Jehoooovahs TRUE organization! These brothers are so LOVING!"
If pointed out that the donation must be same or more than current payment with no end date, they will immediately think, "my how close to the END we must be! Many of our brothers in poorer nations will benefit from this oh so loving arrangment! We were paying the loan anyways... Now we are helping build worship places for our great god Jehoooooovah! My how great and kind and loving the gubberning body is!"

Need an Exit Plan Fast!

they suggested she should no longer communicate with someone who's thinking isn't in line with jehovah's organization.
we argued and she told me to go hang myself.

Moving is a great idea but I have a word of caution on the fade. I moved and attended for 6 months and faded. BIG mistake. People knew us and liked us and HOUNDED us for over a yr.
Move, attend immediately and request your card be transferred of the Secretary immediately. Do not give out your address (say you are moving again in 3 weeks and will give it then) Skip the next meeting. Go to the following one. Skip and then go for just long enough to confirm your card is there. Then don't go back!!!! Also, use an app on your smart phone to get a temporary phone number to give out when people ask for one. Then let it cancel when you are stopping.
