  secondarily, the question has been: are jehovahs witnesses really jehovahs witnesses?

  or, perhaps worded differently: is the watchtower really the voice of christs appointed faithful and discreet slave of prophecy?

  You sound like a drowning man who is grasping at staw to keep him from drowning. A man who is so desperate, even though he Knows that straw won't save him from drowning will grasp at it anyway, because that all he's got, what the heck.

  Your arguement that you post here sound that desperate, don't you think?

  You make such a feable attempt at defending the WT. Twisting and bending Scripture to no end and for what?

  What are you really trying to accomplish here?

  You Know be honest with yourself first, the WT is in trouble because their sins have piled up to the heavens, they are just get a taste of their own medicine, it's just a case of "what goes around comes around" and You Know it.

  I think these condoms will be selling(donation basis) like hot cakes.

  Brothers will beating off at the Society's door for them.

  I heard of a brother that was using them before they came avalible for general use and he had a daughter in the process, he named her Leaky.

  CO's and DO's love them.

  It is the brain child of the late Karl Kline, but I hear it only got passed by a 2/3 GB vote. It seems they had to cum up with a size small enough for a tight fit for all the emasculated men that do the Society's DF'n.

  At the Distric convention when it was first released all the brothers were so apreciative that the FDS was providing food at the proper time. They even had some demostrations on how to use the new condom, that were received quite well by the brothers.

  At are convention they ran out, they had to limit it to 3 for the brothers and 2 for the sisters, of coarse they ask the brothers not to send their minor children to pick them up and only one member of the family was allowed to get them to be fair.

  One brother was so happy he broke down and cried.

  well my friend, after a second attempt to reach out to me and give me the decision last night i received an unexpected visit from two of the local elders.

  apparently the two wts agents decided to pass the torch to the local elders this time.

  this was organized by the co along with wts instructions.

  Elders meeting tonight?????? Need advice???

  well - my father (he's an elder) asked me if he could watch my daughter saturday night and i could pick her up sunday at the meeting or he would drop her off at my house.

  well, they have offered to watch her overnight plenty of times, but he has never offered to drop her off at my house on a sunday!

  the clincher - he said he would normally watch her tonight since it's a friday, but he has an elders meeting.

  Try not to let your imagination ruin your well being, I wouldn't worry as yet it does't seem to be any thing that the elders are planning to do against you so stay calm, and don't let your imagination get the best of you.

  It could possible be that your father is not the loyal JW you think he is, and he may not be turning you in.

  I used to know a lot of elders like that, that is, they would rather try to help their own families by themselves and not subject them to a full blown JC, if they help it.

  It could be your father knows a JC wouldn't help you at this time and may not wish their help.

  Sit tight and don't let fear rob you of peace of mind.

  Been in your shoes, and I know how we can get paranoid real quick.

  i have been asked by a concerned husband to speak to both his family and his wife family about jws.. his wife has been studying with the jws for some months and he is very concerned.

  he read alot on the internet and knows they use mind control, and make false claims to be god's channel, but he cannot convince her of this.

  Since the man is already 'studying' with the JWs, I think it would be best to take advantage of it and help him ply the JW 'study conductor' with legitimate questions that he knows the JW can't answer. The best ones depend on his general knowledge about everything, and on which JW publication they're slogging through.

  Yes I think that's a good point, I think it's the new book "Knowledge Something or Other".
  But maybe in the future I Will find out what the next couple of lessons will be and post them and anyone who like could raise some good questions that he could use, they'd have to be simple because he's not really into the Bible he just trying real hard to help his wife.

  You'll have to post a good deal more information about the man and his wife, and what they're studying, and then various posters can come up with good questions to pose.

  That sounds like a plan.

  I don't have any control over that (how many will be their). I realy had nothing to do with arranging this meeting.

  His wife will not be at this family gathering for some reason and doesn't know about it.

  I'm just helping out this guy, he asked me to speak with his famliy about JWs. He's really a nice guy who wants the best for his family and he sees the control the JWs have over his wife's thinking and it worries him.

  If I was in his shoes I would have done the same thing. I think a family that thinks that much about one of their members has a lot going for it.

  I will proceed with caution and try to size up the situation, I don't want it to turn into a JW hate fest, I'm not into that.

  But I agree with you it's a very touchy situation and need to be handle as delicately as posible. And your words will weigh heavy on my mind.

  Thanks for you observations.

  I plan to repeatedly caution the family not to over react, so I totally understand the dangers.

  The husband is even studying with the JWs now at my suggestion, but with the intent of looking at the context of the scriptures used in the lesson.

  I'll repeatedly tell them that confrontational approaches will only make matters worse.

  Dear freinds,

  I have been asked by a concerned husband to speak to both his family and his wife family about JWs.

  His wife has been studying with the JWs for some months and he is very concerned. He read alot on the internet and knows they use mind control, and make false claims to be God's channel, but he cannot convince her of this. He's worried and is trying to help her not to get to caught up in this religion. The changes that she's already made from listening to the JWs has had some bad effects on their family's happiness.

  So he's arranged for a family meeting that his wife doesn't know about, most of the family on both sides are very concerned too.

  I was asked along with another ex-JW to speak to both families at a get together.

  Any words of caution or what literature may be good to pass out please feel free to offer advice.

  Many minds on this matter to me can only help.

  PS: You Know and Fred Hall excluded from this one(sorry guys).
