  i just read tyydyy's post on macho men.

  kent had an interesting point:.

  i'd say a girl would go for a man - and then i mean someone who isn't scared shitless by a girl with brains!.

  It's funny I have found the opposite. When I was a JW I never interacted much with other men...it was discouraged you know! But since that time I have enjoyed getting to know several men and to my suprise have found that they are very supportive and happy to meet women that are intelligent and have a sense of humor. I feel that some women might tend to supress these qualities because they feel that men won't like them if they seem to smart or sassy. lol being married I don't really care one way or the other if they like me so I tend to be myself and am really impressed with the response I get from men. lol of course I am not saying I am the brightest crayon in the box...but hopefully I am not the dullest either

  Of course there are exceptions to every rule!!!

  Christmas

  hey everyone, i am thinking of having a tree this year for the very first time since i stopped going to the kh.

  although i am not disfellowshipped and i have not written a letter to disassociate, the closest friends i have had over the years as a witness have all chosen to avoid me and my family unless we return to the hall.

  unofficial shunning by those who we have loved.

  Well I am not sure how far we are going to go with Christmas this year...I would LOVE to decorate the outside of the house with lights and have a huge tree...but just not sure we want to cut all the ties just yet.. Last year we had a small tree in we kept in the office and then on Christmas Eve we took it downstairs. We enjoyed decorating it and admiring our work

  But I do know this year my daughter is going to sit on Santa's lap! We saw him at the mall last night and she is so excited! You are so right ARoarer, Christmas is about more than the gifts...it is the sights and smells and excitement...the family gathering...happy people...lol I love it!

  PART TWO. (A Tale Of 2 Witties)

  ...........we were stunned, i had never heard a father treat anyone with such a harsh contempt, and my heart went out to the daughter who later visited my then local pub the unicorn to seek me out..... thats right, the 18 year old daughter turned up in my local pub and brought her 20 year old witness brother along with her.

  after several pints of ale, he informed me that he was heavily into smoking pot and that he was concerned that he might get df'd if he was caught.

  he didn't see why he couldn't enjoy a joint without giving up being a witness, she had just finished watching the movie "shirley valentine", did i know what a clitoris was?.

  Loved the way it was usually put...doing this is a matter for your Bible trained conscience of course MATURE CHRISTIANS would want to blah blah blah = If you are a MATURE CHRISTIAN you will do EXACTLY as we "suggest"

  But isn't it nice of them to let people think they aren't brainwashed puppets??? (Groan)

  A Tale Of 2 Witties, Part 1.

  some years back i moved into a new house on a new estate, quite near to where my mother lives, and even closer to where radar lives now.. we were one of the first to move in, and, after several weeks, our first neighbours began to arrive.

  they were a family comprising husband, wife, 1 son and 3 daughters.

  we exchanged greetings and each family showed the other around our new houses which were of the linked to each other design.. a week or so later, i noticed my mother pulling up outside in her car, but, instead of coming to my home she got into a long conversation with my new neighbour who was tending to his front garden.

  I am with you Dana...only in a "perfect" world does love never fail...no one is perfect (thank god or whoever!) and so at sometime or other we will let one another down..just depends on what happens when you do that...lol you can make lemonade or just suck lemons...and depends on my mood which one I do

  Hope you perk up sweety...wanna borrow my hubby for awhile???

  And to Ms Think...I am totally with you on the chat room thing..what is up with that..seems like everytime I go on there the talk turns to sex sex sex...I just don't understand it!!!!!!!!!

  I Dream of the Apostate Rocks Cafe

  i had the weirdest dream last night.... it started with me taking a taxi ride in some city i had never been in before and i kept seeing these billboards which were all black and white and saying: dont go there!

  i asked the taxi driver what that was all about and he told me that this was the watchtower society telling everyone not to go to the apostate rocks cafe.. anyway, i told him to immediately take me there and i just cant believe all the people surrounding this place.

  there are like thousands and thousands of people wanting to get inside.

  uuummm love a guy with a little growth on his face..nuzzling my ear and neck...nothing like that scratchy feeling.

  Tall I like um taller than me! I am 5'7" with heels at least 5'9" so I NEED a guy to be at least 5'll"...any hair color or no hair..any color eyes as long as they are intelligent and warm..HUMOR..MUST HAVE HUMOR!!
