  sorry if the title sounded funky.....but it fit.. has anyone besideds me noticed how nealy ever instance of a birth mentioned in the bible was a boy?.

  i realise that women were also born, or there wouldn't be a jewish race...but why are most births recorded of the bible hero's mostly or nearly all men?.

  eve has cain, able, and seth.. noah has 3 sons.. abraham has children by two women...ishmael by hagar, and issac by sarai.. issac has esau and jacob.. jacob has twelve sons...mostly by rebeccah's maidservant except for joseph.. yes, some of these ones had other sons and daughters....but it seems it was the males who always were the first out of the chute.

  A Fitting Description of how MANY elders view their "sheep"

  i came across these couple of paragraphs while reading a book by jon katz titled "the dogs of bedlam farm".

  i just couldn't help thinking that this was how many of the elders i knew seemed to view the "precious" sheep that they had authority over.

  just thought i'd share my thoughts on this...my presumptions are in red.

  HE. Yeah that's spooky. But once you've shed the bonds of borgdom, you'll see those parallels in a lot of things.

  Heck wifey and I watched the movie "King Arthur" the other night, and we just came glancing at each other over situations that were so JWish/Cultish and people just blinded followed what their "leaders" them to do.

  i have been thinking about this for a while and wanted to get some of your thoughts.. how long after you were appointed an elder did it start to dawn on you that this was not the "truth"?

  was being an elder a catalyst to that realization at all?

  Valentine's Day dilemma

  my psychology teacher is the coolest.

  i wanted to e-mail him and tell him that for v-day or tell him in person tomorrow, because that's when i have his class.

  i don't want to go to his office (he has a private practice), because (1) i don't know where it is and (2) i really don't know how he'll react if i do that, and i don't wanna know!.

  i've recently been looking at examples of how the wts misquote sources to support their theories,often omitting large portions of a quote.. one that made me angry was a quote in the reasoning book on page 89 under the subject of cross.

  here is the quote,the omitted parts highlighted.. "the greek word for cross, stauros, properly signified a stake, an upright pole, or a piece of paling, on which anything might be hung, or which might be used in impaling (fencing in) a piece of ground.

  but a modification was introduced as the dominion and usages of rome extended themselves through greek speaking countries.

  If your reading any WTS Shiterature and you see the "infamous" 3 dots, you can be pretty sure they are tailoring it to suit their twisted philosophies. And if they are quoting their own "previously" released publications you can be damn sure of it.
