  I know, let's give all our money and goods to other people, then, when we need something, they'll give it back...right? Tales, Communism doesn't work, and that's basically what you propose. I don't pretend to have the answers, but I know I've not seen any answers that will work on this thread.

  it is quite remarkable how people who've done nothing to really further the cause of peace seem to win the nobel peace prize.

  the most glowing insult to the integrity of what this prize should stand for, was best demonstrated with its awarding to yasser arafat, the father of modern day terrorism.. .

  although i've never heard of one instant where arafat purposefully placed his life or well being on the line in face to face combat, he has literally sent thousands to their horrible deaths.

  of course it was the stupidity of the communistic leadership that ruined the soviet union. had they not senselessly joined the arms race would their economy not have collapsed. if i remember it correctly the soviets spent 60% of their budget on defense. IDIOTS!

  The idiotic "planned" economy of Communism doesn't work either...IDIOTS! Communism is a failure.

  Suicidal Thoughts

  sorry to put such a crappy subject on here but today and like this whole week has been pretty bad.. right when i went to the 5th grade i started getting i was already in the suicidal mood of things and always thought about killing myself or killing a whole bunch of other people.

  all during elementary school kids picked on me since i had a habbit of crawling into corners and crying or just sitting and rocking in those corners.

  i couldn't talk to anybody, i stuttered and i threw up every time a person talks to me for too long that pushed away alot of people they always talked about me throwing up all the time and everything.

  what do you think would happen if the society received "new light" and it was no longer a requirement to turn in a field service report, it is now between each publisher and jehovah what they do as far as witnessing?

  personally i don't think that will ever happen because that is the only way they can maintain control over everyone in the congregation.

  i have just returned from spending a week in the company of frenchbabyface, (fbf) and would like to share some basic observation that i feel will enlighten my fellow countrymen and women about a people we, as a culture, actually know very little about.

  i do believe the medias of both countries do not show their people an honest and forthright view of the other countries people.

  the american media gives us almost no news of france and most of what we do get is not very positive.

  The French Film industry is extraordinary, by comparison the US Film Industry is ordinary What was the last French film that made 150 million dollars again?

  The French support of its artists and musicians is extraordinary, the British pale into the ordinary by comparison . Would the French Government need to support them were they really that good?

  French Champagne is extraordinary, Australian champagne is ordinary by comparison. And American wines now compare with French wines...wha wha wha.

  often just a thinly disguised jealousy at the French sense of style and independence. I'm thinking not many Americans are jealous of the french....I do see the French GOVERNMENT as being Jealous of the US...the French still want to be a world power...without their Veto position on the security council of the UN the French would be a third rate country

  I agree with SS and others. Gorbachev played a large part, it was his life's work imho.

  So, your proposition is that G joined the Communist Party and dedicated his whole life to it in order to bring down the Soviet Union? He was an agent provacatuer? Realist, I didn't expect that your brain would allow you to admit that any conservative did anything good. It's the stupidity of COMMUNISM itself that failed.
