shunning and the fear of shunning is what enables the control of victims of child abuse.
shunning is what destroys families.

hmmm I have been reading this thread for a while and as a df myself I look back to the the day that I was df'd and the shape of my life at that point and what df'ing did to my mental state following. I think all it did was cut my parents and sister off from me in a cruel and torturous way. The cleaning of my life was something that had little to NOTHING to do with any thought of pleasing some god. Df'ing did nothing but send me down a black hole that I had to pull myself out of myself without the help of the ones i needed the most-my parents. Still to this day they maintain that thinking. Until I "repent my evil ways and come back to the one 'true' flock they have only limited and restricted contact with me" I think that is a direct quote actually from my dear elder dad. "shunning" ppfffttt....
As a husband and a father with a well respected role in the community I now live in I flip my finger towards those that think my life cud be ANY better in ANY jw cult. F@#$ em... -

Jehovah witnesses DESTROY happy families!
by D wiltshire injehovah witnesses destroy many otherwise happy families by their cruel and inhumane shunning.. the bryant families(ca.& or) are a very real example of how shunning as enforced by elders and the watchtower really messes up what could otherwise be happy families.. will those fat heads on the governing body ever stop and think about how their sad and tragic misuse of shunning has led to untold suffering for so so many people,.. people who they owe,... no, people who they should feel love and compassion for because they have trusted them with their lives.. there is all kinds of wickedness in this world and i think the governing body is right up there close the the most wicked by their use of manipulation though lies and guilt.
one day i'm sure they will be held accountable.. oh god please bring their own wickedness crashing back on their own heads, because they keep tearing your people to pieces with their lies and the shunning of innocent people, please bring their own form of wickedness crashing back on their own heads.. .
join the watchtower or you will die.. only jehovah's witnesses have the truth all other religions evil and from the devil.. you must beleive the watchtower or you're going to die a painful death forever, isn't that really good news?.

?!@#$%!?#@$%$#@?*&%$# hey there...I grew up as a jw too and pandora makes a good point...better to not know god or the troof than to know and reject it. Been df'd now for about 7 or 8 years I lost count of the years after the first 2 but have been married with stability for almost 3 years now and yet still my elder dad and my faithful mom refuse to have any type of familial contact with me...it is hard for my wife to understand why they are like they are. My inlaws have quite possibly reshaped my whole definition of "unconditional familial love" I never knew it was real until they brought me in. It seems odd to me that I am forever "marked" df'd and labeled bad because of it in that religious cult of jwland but when it comes to the other half of my life and non jw family,they ALL love and care for me just because! They have been extremely patient with me and my trust issues that i have because of those years within the borg...not sure what I am trying to get at..im sure this is an old old story that everyone here has seen before. f@#% em...bbzzzrrrttt@@###$$!!!%%*&^%$

My Daughter and Jehovah

so she got a limited degree of jw exposure as an infant.
most of my immediate family are still witnesses, but we don't have dealings with them on any regular basis.

I am a fairly new father of a baby girl..she will be 1 on friday and I have been out of the borg collective for about 6 years now and my parents are practicing jws and my pop is even an elder...my daughter is still young enough where I dont have to worry too too much about explainin anything to her yet but I have to set the law down to my parents and I am still lacking in finding a way to explain it to them..thakfully my wife has very large fangs and she knows how to get my parents to back off...hmmm maybe thats why I married a wordly..heh heh...but yah I worry about my parents tryin to "undercover preach" to my daughter but I think that if I have open communication with my daughter that it will be enough for her to able to use her own good sense cuz her mom and I are two of the biggest cynics alive so I can only hope that once our daughter is old enough to see the difference between "jw" and "the world" that she is able to make the right decision...but whatever she does I have to memeber to support her..anyway..sorry bout the long drawn out windy post...lol...I'll go back and check into my room in the insane asylum...chuckle...

nick...sex, drugs, alcohol, body piercings, tattoos, total debauchery...usually helps for a short while...once the jw brainwashing starts dulling as a result of the total "worldly behavior" it shud balance itself out..least thats what I did..lol...almost 7 years of total immersion into worldly appetites...heh heh heh...and if nothing else I reccomend 6 to 8 hours in a nice tight straightjacket...stay strong...we got yer back..

i got my ear pierced right after i left and when i was living at home my dad said i couldn`t have it on in the house.i got a tatto about six years ago the look on my dads face was priceless at the beach but he never said anything.. beans.

u get to the airport extra early so that u can have time to take all the metal out then watch as the security people scan with their "magic wand" metal detector over yer body then watch in amazement the strange looks ya get when u put all of em back in right there! lol..my first time through a metal detector was awful...I almost missed the flight..thats what u do janh...thats why I downsized...took most of em out...lol...but what really makes em wonder is the stragihtjacket that they see in my carry on luggage as it goes through the xray scanner u wouldnt believe how many times I have had to explain that one..lol...
