Grateful we got out in time for our kids.....
by LyinEyes ini am so grateful that we got out of the borg for so many reasons.
one of the main reasons are my kids.
today they are having a bunch of friends over to have wrestling tournaments on our trampoline.

Funny Story...
by wonderwoman77 ini posted on the dating forum that i went and saw the girl i was talking to for nine days, well on sunday afternoon around 3 o'clock we had laid down to take a "nap" aka fooling around etc.
well the doorbell rang and she thought it would be her friend, so she ran to the door and it was none other than the good ole jw's.
i started laughing so hard.

England Vs Brazil, 0230hrs and A White Rabbit ....
by invisible inlife, what a strange and wonderful thing she is.
here we are 2:30am in the morning, the kickoff between england and brazil starts in only 5 hours time, you walk out of a mates house after watching the news, usual warring factions, israel and palestine, india and pakistan ad finitum, (why they can't just play cricket, i just don't know), then the other bit about the arabic conversations taped on the 10th of september, not deciphered until the 12th, and whatknot, well, like i was saying, walked out my mates house and spent the next several minutes chasing this white bunny rabbit up a steep hill, (which had obviously escaped from someones garden), i thought, england win, england lose, someone in the morning is going to be upset either way.
i get home and am on the phone to the police telling them (just prior to the all important football match) that this white rabbit is heading for marlborough road.

Adult College Students - Take a Bow!
by zenpunk ini notice that there are many of us here who were discouraged from going to college/university in our younger years, courtesy of the watchtower society.
i would just like to say "congrats" to those who, in spite of the indoctrination and the fact that they've had to attend college later while holding down jobs and paying their own way, have attended college and received degrees!.
when i left high school i went right into pioneering as college was not an option in the witness world.

My father was an abusive man. We ended up not speaking for 17 years. Two months ago, when we were in the same room together alone, he broke down and cried, grabbed me and told me he was sorry. I always wondered if that moment would ever come and, if it did what I would say or do. I just hugged him really tight. I was instantly ready to forgive. We haven't spoken about that moment again and, it will be a long road before we could chat on the phone like father and daughter, but we can now speak to each other in social settings.

i know this is a serious board, but since i know there are many soccer's lovers, i need to share with you that i and my family (we live in brazil) are really freaking out with this game.. by the way, it will be at 3h00 a.m, and i (and many brazilians) simply can't sleep.
