Wow! I guess you can tell I don't know a word of Italian! I still think some of them are far-fetched, but others, especially that goat's head from - I think it's the old family book - that's pretty scary!

I think the pic is a little far-fetched (or I'm just not seeing something). I like this walking monk though!

by zenpunk ini have family that lives in the uk and they told me that adverts are already running for sunday's installment dealing with the jw coverup.
unfortunately, because i have been labeled an apostate by everyone, they quick stopped themselves before telling me about the content, stating that i really didn't need to hear it.. has anyone seen these ads?
what do they say about the content of the show?

jw marriages age differences
by invisible inof 3 that straightaway spring to mind:.
dg (m) 64 e (f) 27. bm (m) 49 d (f) 18. pl (m) 43 e (f) 18.
2 of the above were also 'arranged' marriages, do you know of any other instances of extremes in jw marriage age ranges?

I know of quite a few instances where barely-18 year-old girls were married to JWs in their 40s. When I was 19 I guess my parents were getting desparate because they set me up with this guy in his late thirties who lived at the Patterson, NY complex. He was even divorced already. Anyway, my parents took me to meet him for pizza at the nearby pizza parlour. Deep down, I was really pissed-off about it. I took one look at this guy and thought to myself, "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING"! I told my parents I never wanted to meet that creepy guy again! (Needless to say he was incredibly interested in this young piece of flesh). Years later, my parents had the nerve to tell me that they had run into him at an assembly and that he had gotten married - like I missed my chance or something!
Also - why does the guy have to be older. When I get to be 40 - I want to get myself a hot 20-year old! Yeah! !

Not Blind - That 4.7% statistic (yes, at the bottom of the list) is from 1993. I wonder if it has improved since the "new light" on college has become available. Does anyone know?

I have many homeschool moments as well Valis, though I was fortunate enough to have parents who shuttled me off to public school. Those in my old congregation who were homeschooled were not only had an incredibly limited knowledge base (I remember one girl didn't know what World War II was) but they were emotionally stunted - 17 year olds having temper tantrums like they were 5! It was disgusting and sad all at the same time.

Does anyone here workout on a regular basis?
by Leander ini just wanted to get a little dialog going with some of the members here who workout.
i know reborn works out quite a bit and i've been doing fairly well as of recently in getting back into a regular exercise regimine.
so far i've worked out everyday for the past 17 days, i usually try to do weight training at least 3-4 times a week and i usually do some cardio everyday.

I work out like a fiend. Weights, biking, running, yoga, pilates, etc... You name it! If I hurt the next day from it - it's a winner! My goal is to live to be 100 and have enough muscletone (as a 5'1" woman) to scare the hell out of people without being a musclebound freak. I'm about 5 lbs away from being happy with my appearance, though I'm sure that's just me being a perfectionist.
