how many days?

ok, so we've probably all heard before that someone out there has done a study calculating about how much time we will have spent in our lives sitting at red lights and it comes to about a year?

try calculating about how many days you have spent at circuit/district conventions in your life, assuming there were 3 for circuit every year, and 3 or 4 for district every year.

i can't remember the year it switched to from 4 down to 3. this number is bigger than you might think, especially if you were raised as a jw.

just watched the news and two 14 year olds have been brought into custody for questioning of the burning of the hall in middleboro....it is burning right now..... the media was interviewing an elder who was let in quickly for some important papers when one of the side walls caved in while the fire fighters were trying to put out the fire.the fire men were sent to hospital for smoke..... i wonder what was the important papers that they needed??.

i have never known fire men to let people into a burning building before.... the whole thing sounds fishy to me....

middleboro is a mere 30-40 minutes away from me, thats why i wanted to know. i didn't hear about it in the radio news or tv news, so i was wondering if it was THE middleboro in Mass. anyways, this isn't the first one burned down in this (mass) state. in the last year, i think there have been 3.

Speaking of Shunning

for those who don't know me i've never been jw but am interesting in understanding.

anyways, i was wondering when you were a practicing jw and you had to shun people, deep down how did you feel?

did you feel right in doing so or did you always know that it wasn't right?

it stinks.

imagine your bestest friend. you run into them at the supermarket or mall, tommorow. they see you, its been awhile. they come toward you, happy, smiling, and what do you do? ignore them. not even a smile, or a hello. its worse than ignore, its like, they are dead and they aint there. at all.

now how do you feel?
