  consider earth as one of the sources for the force that drives evolution.

  this hypothesis would of necessity require an infintesimally small mote of intelligence or consciousness at the atomic level, and below that, if there was something lower.

  atomic inteligence would explain why atomic hydrogen, the lowest form of known matter in the universe, forms itself into into clouds, that are called nebulae.

  i don't think so, but the turks aren't known for being nice.. despite a barrage of criticism from the media, england are odds on favourites to win their next euro 2004 qualifying match against turkey at the sunderland stadium of light.

  the visitors have won their opening three group games and anything other than a defeat would put them in a very strong position.

  the hosts are currently at around evens to win group 7.. .

  A UTF style fight? Weren't you the peacenik hippie type just a second ago? Anyway, it sounds like fun. We could set up an apostafest event surrounding it, sell tickets, maybe some of your chai crap in the stands. Hoo ah! I can see it now, the lights, the crowd, the sight of your broken battered body being dragged away as your feeble voice threatens legal action from what remains of your larynx. Oh yeah, even though you cowardly deleted all of that thread, I remember that little incident!

  Rent the ring, set the date, preferably for the end of summer so I'll look good in my spandex suit, and I'll be on the next flight for Seattle!

  first, i never was a jw, but since a dear friend of mine is one, i'm here to learn from the human elements in order to give her quiet assistance in leaving someday (soon, i hope).... i love reading.

  my favorite author thru the years has been cs lewis.

  i read narnia in hs, and loved the last book the best (last battle).

  I think that Farkel's point is valid. People believe in crap because they WANT to believe in crap. I mean, there are still people who claim to be "samaritans" living in Palestine! Still practicing what is left of their millennia old religion - and they are dying off.

  I really can't see another Rutherford, though - there just isn't anyone that charismatic in the organization! They've all been disfellowshipped or have sought better opportunities.

  The status quo will continue - mediocre growth in developed lands, even declines, and continued growth in the Third World, because they really don't have anything else going on.
