A big issue for ex-witnesses?
by JeffT inafter watching so many of the flame wars/battles going on on this board, ive reached a conclusion about what may be the biggest issue that faces ex-witnesses: learning how to deal with conflict is a new experience.
in the world of the borg, there is no conflict.
you conform to the group, or you are not part of the group.

Yes, thats true about picking one's own battles. Sometimes I feel the vibes of left overs from jws carried into exjw survivors . Trying prove whatever point. Sometimes feels like being in that mindset.
I realize we all have'nt worked on our own issues. Cause when that happens there are times I don't want to play.

what do you do when JWs call at your door now?
by franklin J ini have been away from jws for 20 years, after having grown up as one, a pioneer and ministerial servant.
i have rebuilt my life, am very happy and have a wife and three kids who never were part of jw.
i have moved back into the town i grew up in.

There is a law in Minneapolis, Minnesota no spitting on the sidewalks. It's a quite old old law.
I noticed in the play off's Twins vs Yankee's ball players spitting on tv . I bet they have the whole field covered with goober's with their spitting. Must be a man thing?
Working in the ER at the entrances. There are goobers all over. It's just gross. No wonder dieases run rampart!!!

by invictus infirst i would like to thank you all for your courage to tell the truth about " the truth" and watchtower, and by helping ones like my family get so much information about witnesses.. just a quick introduction: we came to canada from yugoslavia 12 years ago and two years after we were baptized as a jws.
because of that , our relatives in canada shunned us for betraying ortodox faith .
now 10 years later we are shunned by our jw "friends" even thou we are not disfellowshiped nor did we disassociated ourselves.after reading information on this board about un, paedophilia and inhumane treatment of many who just did not agree with some practices, we just couldn`t go to meetings anymore.
