  so why is the wt obsessed with it?

  i would much rather read articles on actually applying bible princples and have a real christ-like personality.

  why don't they realize that how they fixate on "the end" is in direct conflict with that scripture?.

  the material i've studied about early christianity leads to the conclusion that what passes for modern christianity is the result of luck.

  ideas required support, so who was lucky enough to get the numbers at a conference?

  Can -wiki- really be trusted to be a truly factual site, with no errors ?

  They don't have the truth abnout the name je-hovah there, I had to dig very deep.

  Don't know much about the chinese FT, only that they are generally very nice people, cultured and respectful.

  i am looking for some advice - or maybe just some moral support.. i can't find the link to my previous thread... but in a nutshell... husband and i got married a couple months ago after 10 or so years together.

  he was never baptised, but grew up 'in'.

  i never had any exposure to the craziness til i met him and his family.

  Chin up. Scary 21 has it covered.

  I can relate to a lot of what your saying. I married non-jw, but had problems with M-(hag)-in-law, I was cut from good enough cloth for them, lol.

  Caused us heaps of probs all the way through. I fianlly managed to break away..... but cos we have kids, it's not so easy.

  (still battling the demons, lol)

  You got to keep it in your head that you are normal, and so much better than them, don't let them drag you down.

  Be strong, be assertive, and start as you mean to go on. Nip this in the bud from the get go.

  Some men are very deep, and they bottle things up. You got to force them to deal with 'it'.

  if they can't - either too weak, or too lazy, then best to let them go, they only drag you down with them.

  i know there are not many peterists out there but for the sake of argument all you bible believers, a question for you.

  its looking more and more like the book of revelation was written for john's time and not ours.

  the number mentioned 666 is more likely 616 for the emperor caligula who put a statue of himself in the temple at jerusalem, and the first verses in the book and the last chapter all say that these thing will happen quickly.

  Snare, wish you all the luck m8, you should be very proud of yourself. enjoy your break.

  You hit a chord there, the lack of love etc. Yeah, afraid it's not just jw's though. I understand what your saying.

  It hurst even more when your a parent, and you learn what love really is, and what you missed out on.

  There are so many rotten to the bone people out there.

  Glad society has evolved, and we are outgrowing all those retarded ways.

  well, my 89 year old jw mom has been in her new apartment now for over 4 months.

  my sister and i moved her back to mi.

  from fl.. we were forced to by the jw's who wanted to commit her.

  What other ancient Greek Manuscripts contained the divine name?

  the society in appendix 1a of their 'kingdom interlinear translation of the christian greek scriptures' refers to nine other greek manuscripts as containing the divine name, and they quote from jerome as referring to certain 'greek volumes' containing the tetragrammaton.

  can anyone shed any light on what these greek manuscripts and volumes are and their dates of writing?
