Does Intense Exposure Lead To Revolution?

to put it more precisely, does a trend of intense exposure worldwide lead to dramatic changes that i call "revolution" for lack of a better term?.

i have never witnessed anything like the intense sense of exposure that seems to exist today.

the elite seem incapable of doing anything nefarious without their plans being exposed on the internet.

You could also say revolution forces democracy. If you put a man in a situation whereby you have broken him down totally, and he has nothing to lose or think live for. He could act out of sheer desperation when survival mode kicks in. Just lilke a rat will run away from you, but if you corner it it will lunge at you. driven by sheer fear, instinct.

Isn't this exactly what we have seen in tunisia? The 'Arab Spring'. Man can only suffer so much until he reaches his breaking point. Then he either gives in, or fights. Isn't this our past history as humans? Thinking back to the tribes and clan times. History repeats itself. Just it is happening in other countries now.

Megatron = i agree with what your saying. I see it as man/society is constantly evolving, refining, improving.

Easier and Better = housing, cars, lifestyles, medicine etc. We are so much more advanced in this day.

Knowledge is power.

Its so much harder now for people to hide things and have secrets.

Jam - yes I believe so.

It's the difference with the physical (man) and the spiritual(man), is my understanding. Some people (christians) believe in spiritual things some people don't (not christian). There are many diff types of belief systems, we know the basis's for them and can also independentally study them and learn/research/qestion them for ourselves. That is the teaching of the ORG. This is what I was taught. The REALITY though of the real world and living in it is a differant beast altogether.

It's a lifestyle choice based on a moral code and goodness, which people are free to want if its there choice. Not every jw is bad - not everyjw is good. It's the nature of man.

This is excellent thanks, in a positive way it sorts out a lot of confusion for me and is in line with what I have been meditating about for weeks now. That book is on my list... long list now... really growing ... think I'll be pushing up daisies before I read tehm all .... lol. In which case, it won't even matter anymore.

It could very well turn out to be that 'THE MESSAGE'' is TRUE ..... the organisation / shepherd that is sending it out to the honest hearted the 'sheep' the 'flocks' is false, corrupted. Just like what happened to the Jewish system .... and what Jesus warned/told us about. Wicked taskmaster putting the people into slavery for his own gain.

Which is what we have been understanding to be taught in the world as 'true christianty'. If that was prophesised about thousands of years ago - then as a prophecy it would/could come true. Just as the Bible says.

It is so clear now why many are questioning so many things about the org. Not the faith.

Do you blame Jehovah, Yahweh, God, Jesus, etc. for the corruption of the borg?

do you hold god accountable for the corruption of the borg?

i've noticed there seems to be a bitterness, by some, that includes "god" in the equation, when discussing the borg and their policies, the governing body, elders actions, etc.

do the borg's transgressions originate with god, or does he feel the same disgust as we do?

Are we all bitter?

i posted a link on fb that lead to a topic here.

i then had one of my 'friends' start having a go about how bitter everyone is here....fact he said.

(he used to be a jw elder but left a while back, not sure why he left or if he has even researched the faith since leaving) the more i tried to reason with him that actually it is a support forum, the more he lashed out that everyone here bad mouths the jw's and only attack the jw's.

it states it like it is/was - FACT.It seperates God/religion from the equasion and describes a publishing business. It cannot be argued against.This is what I am trying to keep forefront in my mind to combat all my other thoughts and emotions that tie me in to it. I can totally understand how and why some people would feel bitter. And justifyably so, relevent to their individual stories/experiences.

I wasn't born in. wasn't as hugely involved physically as most were, I can be thankful for that. But mentally and emotionally I was in in a big way. I just had myself a lucky escape.

I have seen though how so many of them who have been in for long long time, many years, they are all ground down now and exhausted. Worn out. And they thought is all about being in the very end of the 'last days' which i was totally convinced.

WE ARE IN THE TOES. One brother who gave talk said 'I CAN TASTE IT'. It is so close now.

It must be close because the society has been SIMPLYFYING things, ready. Make sure you have your go bag on standby. They are moving headquarters upstate as where they are in the city, they are too exposed.

One of the things that got me was I read about a new convention centre, can't remember name or location, sorry. The cost 10 MILLION.

It just felt wrong to me, 10 million. When brothers and sisters are struggling and living in poverty and people are starving in the world and suffering all sorts.

Satan has blinded the minds alright. And turned himself into and angel of light to draw many away from God, yep, he didn't draw them in this direction though. He set up a empire equivalent to the RC church and suckered everyone in. Poor unfortunate souls that we are/were. But now we are learning the TRUTH. Hard as it is, painful as it is ... we are getting help at least to deal with all our conflictions.

QC ... do you really believe that ? seriously ? because I have thought the very same thing and I've been wondering if anyone else.

Not bitter no. Sad. wish I'd known then what I know now. A lot of us a just victims of birth really. life's a lottery. Just have to get on with it. Thankfully now at least we are not controlled mentally and emotioonally by it no more. Thinking positive is more helpful to ourselves. But yes, it's a process which is difficult.

though it is true that one conversation or one jw bombshell will unlikely rock a member from the cult, we are all here as a result of leaving or realising the lies we were fed, doubtless all the bombshells we heard or considered contributed to us leaving.. there seems to be a lot of apathy here at the moment that facts and information are not enough to convince a jw of the lies in watchtower.. this is not true.

even if one missile does not bring down the wall, it contributes to its fall.. information empowers people, it is the most valuble asset in the war on cults.

it may not sink the boat immediatly, but we know it springs leaks.

Because you are PROGRAMMED to only think happy positive thoughts.... ALL THE TIME. They pound you down with fear and guilt, using God to do it, God the Father and Jesus the son, as these are the two things you have rock solid faith in. ANY negative thoughts, questions are SATAN'S SNARES, don't give him a chance to get near you and pick you off, STAY INSIDE the flock, where you are safe.

Fear and Guilt, you feel like a naughty child, always being watched.

You wouldn't have feelings of fear or guilt if you were brought up in a loving secure normal household as a child. But you would if your father was a tyrant and a bully and your mother neglected you.

But it is programmed in to have this fear of a loving heavenly father? can't be right. If you are seeing it from the point of view of a loving parent.

Sometimes there is just a little something that just doesn't sit right, or you can't get your head around, or question. like something scratching away in your brain.

There is so much psychology involved and the ordinary everday person who just doesn't realise it.

HOW will we know if no one ever teaches us ? we remain ignorant.

Now I KNOW why the org. FEARS the internet. All the information is out there. The truth is out there if we search for it.

But when your standing on the edge of the cliff, holding on to your safety rope, it's hard to let go.

Just my thoughts, I'm a newbiee. Literally, about a week ago I just starting thinking stuff and I dunno, it happened. You know you get the feeling something just aint right but you can't put your finger on it.

I'm not apostate. I'm searching for truth, education on the facts and answers. I'm grateful you guys are all hear. Cos I would still be in the dark. Now I am realising and learning and finding out things that had I known back in the 80's I never would've let them in my head. Better to have remained ignorant than to be enslaved to a lie. I'm hugely confused about a lot of things at the moment, a lot of conflicting emotions. This place is like therapy. We know how scary it is and we need to be compassionate, kind and helpful.

I do hope many others will be drawn here and will learn what it's really about.

JW's talk about saving lives, all the time, only if they convert though.

I agree with you we are talking about lives. I mean actually think about the huge numbers of people out there.

It's going to take a lot of personal effort to get my head around everything and start again i guess. Everything I accepted, thought and believed and trusted to be TRUTH.

I'm trying not too think too much about anything. spend most of my time roaming around here and free minds, keeping the mind occupied while I figure it all out.

I did go back and run through that site.

Cedars: good point, lol. thank you. Free minds is/has helped me a lot.

I always believed the anointed were 144,000 co-rulers.

I always had the wonder as to why ALL of the anointed are not involved in directing and sheperding the sheep etc... now I have answer.

I even said it to my elderette the other day, a really good person, but bless, she is a die hard I think. Sad. Sad times these days.
