Upon entering the back doors of Borders, my girlfriend and I felt an immediate presence of pure EVIL! You know, the kind only a JW can put off.
I know that feeling. I feel it everytime I drive by a KH. lol
yes, the headlines are true.. last night, after getting my hair cut wayyy off (i have a faux hawk guys, it's cool to be butch) i went to borders for my usual perusal of porn (kidding, i bought a cookie from mrs. fields and it was the only other warm place open in fresno).
upon entering the back doors of borders, my girlfriend and i felt an immediate presence of pure evil!
you know, the kind only a jw can put off.

and how did you learn the truth?
remember those questions?
remember how jws would always ask you that when they met you?.
Summer of 1996.
dave and i went grocery shopping today, and after we came home, he noticed the propane tank cover for our rv was on the neighbor's front lawn.
on closer inspection, he discovered someone stole one of the propane tanks..............the full one, of course.
the trailer is only a year old.
I've had a garbage can stolen before. I bought it at Wal-Mart for not more than $15. The cheap bastards can have it.
Last winter somebody stole a shovel, hedge clippers, and rake from my dads shed. The riding lawnmower and 4-wheeler were chained up. I'm sure they would have tried to take those as well.
my brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.
ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.
he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.
I'm so sorry.
this is a serious question.
how many of you have jobs?
from the number of posts and the times people complain on here, it looks that many of you don't.
I work for a family law attorney and sometimes work 10 hour days. My boss told me come Jan and Feb we could be working 12 hour days because that is when most divorces are filed. YIPEE!! Ya I work.
.
please educate me my dear friends, and hold nothing back please-i would rather be prepared than caught off guard.. thanks,.

My parents marriage went straight to hell when my dad would not let mom take us to the meetings or in FS anymore. He never tried to get HER to stop going to meetings. When she would witness to him he would get his apostate literature and ask for equal time. That house was a war zone for about a year until mom left because of "spiritual endangerment". I was very young but I still remember some of the fighting like it was yesterday. I dreaded Tues, Thurs, and Sundays.
i remember at the age of 14, i was studying with a very well respected elder in the congregation.
me, him, and my dad studied together.
every once in a while during the study, he would turn to me and ask me "have you dedicated your life to jehovah?".
My question is, how many of you actually "approached Jehovah in prayer" before you got baptized?
I once came thisclose to getting baptized. It was during a very bad time in my life. I remember looking up at the sky and telling myself I don't believe in you and by the off chance you do exist I think you suck. The only reason I was doing it was to please my mom. I would not say I prayed to "Jehovah" that day but I decided then and there I was not going to get baptized ever in any religion.
does there seem to be a higher incidence of infidelity amongst the jws?.
my brother, who is an active jw and ministerial servant, has an elder friend who was recently disfellowshipped for having an affair with another sister in the hall.
it turns out this sister was divorced a few years earlier from a "worldly" man who had an affair on her.
I know of several incidents. I would be here for the next 5 hours writing out all the details. In most of the incidents the parties stayed married.
I've have both on DVD. I've seen the first one a million times and have it memorized. The second I will watch before I see the third one. I'm so excited!!!!! I love LOTR.
i carry a few extra pounds but i generally don't overeat.
however, i enjoy a good meal.
but, the organization that says, "let us not judge others" is giving it's members free reign to judge those who are overweight (in the judger's eyes).
I would say the majority of the women in my old congregation are obese. They didn't like us skinny girls very much. We were deemed as bad association. It should have been the other way around. lol
