  Praise the Lord! God just helped me get a JOB!

  yes, the all mighty god has just helped me get a new job!

  all this happened without violating my managers freewill of course, making him think that i deserved the position.

  unfortunately, there was another man with 2 kids and getting help from the government, which was turned down.. .

  so, normally if i go to a meeting i sit and don't say a word through the entire ordeal.

  however today i just could not keep my big mouth shut.. it was funny that i even got called on....three times none-the-less.

  of course 99% of the sheeple just sat with blank looks on their mugs this morning.

  A real healing caught on tape

  has anybody heard of duane miller?

  he lost his voice in 1990, he had been a preacher.

  supposedly its well documented with doctors and specialists and exams some virus or something destroyed it and he wouldn't get it back.

  I haven't heard of him until now. His message on this tape sounds sincere. I have no explanation about what happened to his voice or whether this representation of his voice clearing up is genuine. People that are around him all the time would be able to say whether the moment on the tape is a true representation of his voice before and after the sermon.

  Other than that, I enjoyed his view of spiritual things.

  i have been in another phase of jw encounters lately.

  it is almost like the twilight zone... in the last 3 days, i have run into a jw every single day.

  i saw my bible teacher, her daughter, and another acquaintance from the kingdom hall we attended.

  i've heard this said in other posts, so now i'm going to combine it in one post.. the $28 million awarded to conti is only drop in the bucket for what they are worth.. there would have to be 100 s of successful sex abuse law suites before they would feel it.

  quite frankly i don't reckon there would be enough with the right circumstances to have a successful case against wt.

  having a dozen or so cases isn't going to break the bank.

  So true that the WT is not going out of business any time soon. Certainly not from any of our YouTubing, article writing, or even a law suit. One thing I learned upon leaving is that no one, I mean NO ONE, is thinking about JWs. We were taught that we are hated by the world, that we are objects of astonishment and wonder. What a narcissistic view of oneself. JWs are not on anyone's radar.

  On the other hand. Where is American Motors, Pontiac, Circuit City, Gateway computers, and soon Sears and KMart? No one cares about them either.

  The whole empire depends on voluntary contributions. It costs millions to insure, heat, and light the massive buildings. Never mind feeding volunteers. As the voluntary contributions go, so goes the empire. Same with any empire when the citizens cannot or do not pay the tax.

  trying to convince my wife not to confess...

  during our engagement, we fooled around and touch each other down there.

  it's not a "tap" but definitely is not "stimulation".

  i tried to convince my wife, who, after 5 years of marriage, strangely felt guilty all the sudden, that its not do called porneia.

  what is your personal genealogy.

  (1) my great grand father was born in 1901. he became active with the bible students around 1910. .

  How does this count?

  My grandmother was born in 1918, obviously after the generation of 1914. Her dad was of the 1914 generation. My grandmother was the overlap generation and lived to be 91. She has been dead 4 years.

  WT's Crazed Obsession!

  i have recently read for the umpteenth time the 4 gospel accounts.

  what caught my attention this time around was how many times jesus makes mention of the endeared expression father (with f in caps) when referring to his god as recorded by matthew, mark, luke and john.. what was also interesting by comparison is how little jesus actually makes reference to his father on a first name basis (jehovah) in these four books.. note my findings with the help of the comprehensive concordance:.

  jehovah: matthew 11 times mark 8 times luke 26 times john 4 times (total 49 times).. father: mathew 43 times mark 4 times luke 21 times john 119 times (total 187 times).. .

  Following is the most interesting explanation I have read on the name Jehovah being absent from the Greek scriptures. This from believers of course.

  That it was the purpose of YaHWeH of the OT to have the name YHWH go into obscurity. That God was known to the Hebrews and Israelites as Yahweh. But now the true God was to be known to all the world by means of His earthly son. So His purpose changed, that he was no longer just YHWH of the Israelites, but now he was to GOD for all the world. Thus, the name YHWH had finished its purpose. By the time Jeus arrived, the name was known only as a historical reference and was not used in every day worship. Not even by Jesus.
