We would all be better off if the JWs would really start reading and STUDYING the REAL BIBLE for themselves. The NWT just doesn't do justice to the Word of God.

1 corinthians 15: 15 says "morever, we are also found false witnesses of god, because we have borne witness against god that he raised up the christ, but whom he did not raise up if the dead are really not to be raised up.".

jw's are guilty of being false witnesses to god in a similar manner as paul states above, because of their insistence that jesus was enthroned as king in heaven in 1914. they need to ditch this unconvincing teaching propped up by it's dodgy chronology.

it's high time to realise that there was no invisible 'parousia' that started in that year, and that christ's parousia is still a future event, to commence when he sits on his white horse and goes into battle at armageddon..

Your view is so full of holes that it doesn't much effort at all to see clear through it.

One of the basic rules of Bible interpretation are that the Bible must be interpreted as literal if the literal interpretation makes logical sense. Much of Revelation CAN be taken as literal.

You say that the gospels do not agree in there presentation of the facts. I challenge you to bring forth any passage where any of the gospels contradicts another on the BASIC facts. You will find that the only place that the facts are different is on SECONDARY facts. It's kinda like when four people see an accident occur. Most likely, they will have the basic facts right, but will differ on the secondary facts.

"Bloody phenomena, business without ethics, religion without morals". All these are a perversion of Christianity. None of these are sanctioned by Christ. In fact, you will find principles for just the opposite in the Bible.

You talk about Christians who don't seem to have ever read Matt. 7:1, yet you yourself seem to have totally forgotten about the verse that is the balance of Matt. 7:1. This verse is Matt. 7:20. It says, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

It is quite obvious by your comments that you do not adhere to bibliolatry. How sad!

It is quite obvious to see that you really don't know what you are talking about. In Exodus 3:13, Moses asks God what His name is. God responds that His name is I AM THAT I AM. He tells Moses to tell the children of Israel that I AM had sent Moses to them.

You are right in your assumption that God the Father did not do all the work of Creation by Himself. Check out Genesis 1:26, 27. "Let us make man in our own image." "So God created man in His own image." How do you account for this?

Where do you ever find the term God applied to a "created angel"? You have failed to provide Scripture as proof for your arguments. In fact, you have failed to produce any evidence for your arguments.

You cannot find any verse in Scripture to substantiate your hypothesis that the word "angels" in Hebrews 1, 2, & 12 refers to humans. This is just simple not true. Check out Psalm 8:4,5. The psalmist is talking about man when he says, "You have made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor." Also in Hebrews 2:7, we see that man is set over the "works of Your hands" (i.e., the rest of creation).

In essence, to say that there are people who become angels is to say that these people become a different creature. They are no longer a member of the human race. Would that not be "incarnation"?

A verse that you may be interested in is John 8:58. Here, Jesus clearly identifies Himself as being one with the I AM of the Old Testament. Jesus is God. Jesus is not Michael the archangel. Or Gabriel. Or whoever else someone may try to make Him into. He always has been, is, and always will be GOD.

DA'ing policy for blood transfusions?

has anyone gotten a scanned copy of the letter sent to co's, to da someone instead of df'ing them for a blood transfusion?

it seems to me that this policy change has been secretly kept from everyone outside of elders.

in fact, the co read it to elder bodies, but nothing in writing was actually given to local elders to file in their talmud-of-society-letters!

in recent days, i've been thinking a lot about the "you must scream when you're raped" rule...[thanks big tex for the correspondence on this issue].

then i read a column by mindelle jacobs in our london free press (i believe she writes for the edmonton sun) that inspired me to write the following rebuttal...although not jw specific, it might still be of interest to some on this forum.

Why I'm Here...

i've read with them all with interest and sympathy, and felt that if i am going to stick around and be a productive member, i should probably tell my own.

i know i am not the only non-jw on this site, and i wanted to offer the perspective of a 'never-was' as to why i am here and participating in the discussions.

There is a book on ebay that you may be interested in. The name of it is "Reasoning from the Scriptures with the Jehovah's Witnesses". I have read part of it and it appears to be a very good book. You can buy for approx. $6.

I hope that you are successful in your pursuit here.
