  i am sort of digging the olympics.

  plus, i used to live in a state that really should be annexed by canada anyway, michigan.

  but i love hockey, autumn, maple syrup, and cold weather.

  i thought that i saw (and posted) on a topic recently re a will which was witnessed by an accounts servant somewhere - and the will left everything to the cong?.

  did i see it or am i really losing it?.

  seems so long ago, 1975, lots happened to us all since but not the promised big a and a new system - what we get now is bethelites made redundant, no sign of a promise fulfilled, and yet millions still adhere to the wt.

  and still in front of us is 2014 - how will; the wt big that up'.

  1975 has been made redundant like hundreds of bethelites - as far as i know the year has not been mentioned for - well 35 years now.

  first, recent threads made it clear that several here have seen people get dfd, re-instated, and eventually become elders.

  A recent post pointed out that in England & Wales the Carity Commission will not permit a convicted paedophile orm fraudster to have an position in the congs.

  They got quite heated as to why WT had no policy in place as I recall - now they insist that appointees are without reproach

  Recycling is one thing WT is good at - heard all this in the 60's 70's and on and on.....many of the people who were "runners" that I knew have passed away with no reward, no prize, fortunately the carrot of the resurrection is there to deceive those who are in this race. The race for life with the WT is just a treadmill of continual pressure and emotional blackmail....but sadly it still works for many. I am so glad that we (as a family) quit the race and created our own finishing line....quit the pressure and all the constant push to "do more" (but not study more - we do that for you)

  Landlord steals security deposit

  has anybody got any success stories about recovering this sort of debt?.

  does anyone know of any companies that would buy the debt?.

  i have already contacted an attorney so am familiar with the legal/court route - i'm interested in alternatives..

  Here in Canada the deposit has to be put in a separate bank account and you also get the interest paid on it when it's returned.

  Same here in UK _ Govt has established several Trust Companies to hold the monies - Landlord has not control over it - a Criminal Offence if he does not put deposit funds into the Trusts

  Yes - an elder can "get away with it" if no one knows and it was around 2 years or more ago - reasoning being that HS has noit exposed them so must be OK!!

  BTW - what planet are you on to see falling elder numbers, mainly due to honest hard working men who sacrificed family duties to serve, finally succumbing to the sheer grinding pressure and standing down - I did 30 years as an elder and it left me exhausted physically and mentally. If Jah was blessing us when we served (or will look after us in the future) where was his care in helping me (thousands of other elders) and our families when we danced to the dictats from the GB - You should ask ex-elders why they stood down - "because that way Jehovah will bless us as a people more" I THINK NOT
