  My Love

  this is my one and only attempt at free style (no rhyme) tell me what you think.... my love seeketh her in the wind and trees and the valleys and mountains... through waist deep streams of crystal waters dashing upon smooth pebble i search for thee.

  oh but to hold thee and to feel thy warm embrace... .

  for the fires of the sun would be naught to compare with thy love... thy embrace.... the flames of love thrash about like a thousand tempests in an ocean of fire.... into the cool blue skies they thrust upwards, reaching, searching to consume.

  i just wrote them a mail, telling them to not contact me any more under any circumstances, illness or death (79 and 83 years old).

  unless they leave the cult and would apologize for our f*'.ed-up upbringing which ruined our whole life.

  it came today, the dreaded envelope containing my personal copy of "return to jehovah" from my elderly, desperate mother.

  it included a small note asking me to read it over and to let her know what i think.

  she got it at her assembly.. firstly, i'm angry that she continues to push her religion on me, given that i stopped attending meetings over thirty years ago, and very offended that she assumes that i still want to be a witness, which is her choice of religion, not mine.

  I agree with everything you wrote except putting the mother before herself.

  I read the fortune for fun. They never say anything bad, but they were always so banal.

  if you were somehow magically put in-charge of the governing body tomorrow, by jesus, with the rules being, you could not teach anything that would be considered outright apostasy and you could not teach anything that would be considered to cause doubt about god's existence... (so as not to arouse suspicion).

  what "new light" or "clarified understandings" would you introduce first?.

  You say "put in charge" but then you put conditions and restrictions on this hypothetical role that make it impossible to do anything.

  That being said, every GB that has come along has apostatized from the last. So your "what if" is a fail from the start.

  i note stillin has had a recent problem with this.

  i also know of two cases were an elder went through a brothers phone to get dirt on him.

  and another were a sisters email was hacked into to get dirt on her.. in both cases apparently it was for their spiritual protection (!

  if the jws follow proverbs 27:17 they should not be afraid of any tension or friction.. in order for iron to sharpen iron you need pressure, tension friction and a bit of heated debate..
