by kelsey007 inas i look back at my life i realize that i have said and done many stupid and hurtful things.
sometimes in anger, sometimes i've allowed "buttons" to be pushed that allowed me to turn ugly.
sometimes i have allowed my sensitivities to overcome reasonable responses.

How hard are the elders going to try?
by freedom96 inas we have all seen, the elders seem to be finding all the inactive, and trying to make us make a choice.
we are either for or against the wts, and they want us to tell them so they know what to do with us.. the question i have is, how hard are they trying to find us?
will it be a simple phone call on the card that was in file?

Colored Shirts?
by Marcos inwhat is the wt policy on shirts for the brothers?
are they supposed to be only white shirts?
my son, no a sort of waning mormon said that he thought it was funny that the witnesses here copy the mormons (white shirts only).

" when you were at work, school or play did you find yourself ashamed to tell anyone that you were a witness?
what if they found out anyway?

I always hated to be different. I never liked to be in the spotlight. So telling someone I was a JW put me in the spotlight. At work a few knew that I was a JW, so everybody knew after a while. They would love to make fun of me because I was a JW. At work there were pictures of nude woman on the wall, and often guys would ask me if I liked these pictures. They knew I was a JW. They used to say to me, would you sleep with a girl like that? They just wanted to see my reaction. It is hell, when people at work know that you are a JW. I was working in a factory, then, so maybe it was worse. No matter where I worked, sooner or later someone would make a joke about JW's. So I just kept quiet and never told those people that I was a JW. I was sort of living a lie.

Dad's Circuit Assembly
by jws inmy dad just went to his circuit assembly this weekend - a 2-day one.. he reports that they used to split the circuit into 3 groups over 3 weekends, now they split it into 2 because it's more efficient.
i tried to suggest that it's because so many people are leaving, but he sticks with what was probably presented as the party line.
that this is more efficient.
