Francois,
The trains will collide in 1 hour, so the bee has 1 hour of flying to do. since it flies at 75 mph, it will travel 75 miles.

if you travel a distance of 100 miles .
and the first half of the trip you go at 100 mph.
and the second half of the trip you go at 50 mph.

those boys in writing have done it again.
the next issue of awake will feature the benefits of pursuing a career in waitressing to allow more time for the full time ministry.
(singing) "so, forward you waitresses...".
If your a waitress, you better declare your tips to the government, to be honest.
In certain countries, if a waitress makes 100$ tip a week, she has to declare it to the government, and they take income tax out of that. She might keep only 60$ out of 100$ tip!!! If you have no tip, the government will still make you pay income tax in the tip you didn't get !!! They suppose your tips are regular every week!

If a 60 foot telephone pole fell across a 30 foot wide road, how much of the pole would not be on the road?
It depends if the pole fell straight with the road, or perpendicular to the road.
If it fell perpendicular, 30 feet is on the road and 30 feet in the field.(some on the sidewalk)
I would rather not.
Different races have different religions, different odor, different way of seeing things, different family, different philosophy, different food they eat, different culture, and so on........
I'm not saying they are inferior, or superior, but different.
This could cause many conflicts, so I rather go for people of my race, and background, and culture.
I am not a racist. I am just expressing personal choice.
Everyone is equal, but different.

if you travel a distance of 100 miles .
and the first half of the trip you go at 100 mph.
and the second half of the trip you go at 50 mph.
That's correct Larc
The first time I looked at that question, it looked so simple, so I said the average speed is 75 MPH.
The first half of the trip is 50 miles and going at 100 mph takes half an hour
The second half of the trip is 50 miles and going at 50 mph takes one hour.
So the total trip takes 1.5 hours
100 miles divided by 1.5 hours = 66.6 MPH
if you travel a distance of 100 miles .
and the first half of the trip you go at 100 mph.
and the second half of the trip you go at 50 mph.
If you travel a distance of 100 miles
and the first half of the trip you go at 100 MPH
and the second half of the trip you go at 50 MPH
What is your average speed for the trip?
when you were an active witness, you were led to believe that you were saved, and the rest of the world was doomed to die at armageddon, did this make you feel superior to non witnesses?
from that point, did you develop a superiority complex over them?
now that you are out, do the witnesses give you the look as if you are only bird feed?
Mouthy,
I like your answer. Once an elder told me that, "if someone in the field service asks if you are saved, say yes". In other words, show that being a JW in good standing, makes you saved.
It was rather arrogant, but I guess we had to show them that we were in the right religion.

with all the talking about visiting inactive ones, i wonder how many inactive people have not been visited yet?
if you weren't visited yet, could it be because they df'd you, and you don't know about it?
I needed to frogive the elders.
Then let the elders ask for fogivness first.
now that my decision to leave the organization is made, there is definitely a sense of relief.
i know i'm leaving a controlling organization, not my faith in god.
so i'm still praying at various times during the day, but it has become a very odd thing now.
I also find it very strange praying Jehovah, while not being with the JW's. I often think that Jehovah must not be listening to my prayer, because I am not acting like a JW. The religion and the name seem to go together.
Who came back doing the sign of the cross before praying?
