why is my jw faith so vacant?
it could have to do with the fact that wt's official position on the bible is that is has been altered over time, and they have done their best to "restore" it the way they think it must have been, despite have zero manuscript evidence to do so.
but this only got me studying more in depth the history of jw teachings, and caused me lose faith in the bible.. what can you conclude if a religion has made literally hundreds of changes to its teachings in just over 100 years?
NOBODY HAS A FRIKKIN CLUE WHAT THE BIBLE MEANS!!!!
That's why my conscience is clear regarding what God wants of me. If he can't be more clear than that, I don't want to advance in a direction that would displease him, so I remain idle as far as religion goes.
i did not mind occasionally useing my vehicle out in service but the elder who did the morning text use to volunteer my car all the time.my pet peeves were:.
1. people walking through mud, grass clippings(rural territory) and just hoping back into the car.
mudd all over carpet.
This thread touches me deeply, because the same happened to me all the time
On top of that my little car had a weight capacity of 700 lbs, and often there were 1000 lbs of people in my car.
A few times, they closed the door with their hip, to shut it tight, and yes they dented the door. That happened a few times.
Kids puting their fingers on the windows, then pushing their feet with their boots on into the drivers seat, and I could feel it, while I was driving.
And when the day was over, they would say, "are you going out in the FS tomorrow brother"?
if there is such a thing as "one true religion", then lots of good honest god loving people will die at armageddon.. although jw's don't gamble, chosing the correct religion, if there is one, is a gamble.. .

this is basicly a spin off of "flippers" sex thread in february.... the future of male/female relationships?....things are changing but we still have a long way to go!
the old paradigm is changing...... governments and religions have tried to control sex for 1,000s of years...and mostly they have done this by depowering women...they have put women in roles servitude to men.
look at the governments and religions of today....they are all male dominated.. its only been 50 years since we believed in the "donna reed" concept of women, as being "mans helper"....stay at home, make cakes and raise the kids.
The Family Trees will become complicated !!!
How about if we ditch this meeting ..... and all others after that?
