We did it -- we're married now!!
by Gopher injune 20th marked a new beginning for me and yourschelbie.. we had a justice-of-the-peace wedding, with just a few family and friends on hand.
the judge did a marvelous job of capturing the essence of the meaning of marriage in just a few minutes.
(and we weren't reminded that serving a publishing company should be the #1 priority in life, lol.).

Well I have not nor will I ever support someone who does such acts to children or to people but at the same time I will not Hooray someones death. We are all going to die someday and I am sure none of us here would hope that we didn`t die like that. I also know that God forgives all who, ask a murder, a thief, a raper and all alike. I don`t know the story of this man and I will not judge a man especially only going by what someone says. Like I said I don't like people who such things and I think it is dispicable of someone to do things like that, but I will not wish upon or praise anyones death..

could of been as a child, teenanger, adult,anytime in your life, did you feel that being a jw (or jw parents) prevented you from doing things you really wanted to do.
why does the watchtower find it necessary to "rob" people of being human and enjoy things in life ??

Explain this to me
by Ariell ini'm new here.. i would like to question those who tend to disagree with jw teachings, but still seem to believe in christianity and refer to god as jehovah.
i always told myself that if i were to ever leave i'd stay out of religion all together, because if this isn't the truth than nothing is.
christianity in today's society is so warped that it's not even funny.

I do not believe in any thing the borg teaches anymore but I do still retain my faith in God and his word. Just because I left the witnesses does not mean we have to leave our creator. I am not a member of any religion although I do attend once or twice a month. I insist on not being a member of any religion as I know that religion does not save us but only Jesus Christ can.
Welcome to the board and please do stick around you will learn a great deal of information pertaining to your faith and in time learn the real truth. Not everyone here that left the JW`s are haters of God but unfortunately there are plenty here who do hate the Lord. We have to except the good with the bad and stick to our faith no matter what someone else thinks about it or us.
Some here will tear you down for your belief in the Lord but your faith will keep you strong. Good Luck coming here and I hope you do learn the truth about the JW religion....

Maybe it`s just me but it seemed like in a lot of the post made here people were cutting others in two. I can understand being angry at the borg for deceiving us but I don`t understand the bitterness towards God. God did not deceive us it was the governing body who lied to us and so I see that most who have come out have a hatred towards God and some have a hatred towards those who still believe....

I guess what I want to know is why are some of you so bitter towards other people, were you bitter while being in the borg ? Did they not teach against being bitter ? Shouldn't we be bitter at the borg and not our fellowman ?

I admit I too have said some things that were out of order, but they were on Government issues. But to be so hating of other people here who are or have been through the same road as all of us why can we not find some love and compassion and so understanding here, I guess the main question is why did the borg make some so angry and spiteful ? When I came out of the borg I was thankful that it happened but I never gave up my faith in God or my kindness in my fellow man..
