By the way, "Order" is a term used in this area (Pennsylvania, Ohio) to describe certain sects. We have Old Order Amish, Old Order Mennonite, etc. They also use the term "Friends". Again, you'd have to be familiar with the multitude of religious movements and their history as it pertains to Pennsylvania.

It's actually quite simple. A lot of these terms come from the area of the cult's inception. You have to understand the religious demographic of the time, in the state of Pennsylvania and New York area. CT Russell was exposed to a multitude of different religions and groups of this area. They all had their impact on him, his not-so-unique belief structure, etc. We have Quakers, Adventists, Calvinists, Christadelphians, and various Masonic Orders and Lodges. ALL of these influenced CT Russell.
Saying "The Friends" is quite common in Quaker and Christadelphian Meeting Houses. And oh gee, "Meeting Houses" sure sounds familiar, huh? JW's attend "Meetings" and listen to "talks", instead of going to Church and hearing sermons? In the early days, CT borrowed a TON of imagery directly from the Masons. Back then, they were waiting for the "New Order", (now New System) to come. New World Order, is completely Masonic, as are "Assembly Halls", etc.
The belief in adult baptism (as opposed to child baptism and confirmation) is Ana-baptist, as are other beliefs stemming from Calvinism. Arianism and end-times BS are purely Adventist Annihilationism.
So you see, many of these terms have filtered down thru the years from the times in which this religious order began. Now, it's a full-blown CULT. Back then, I'd say it was an odd, but uniquely pieced together (from everything else around here) religious Order.

Just Bumped Into My JW Sister And Brother In Town
by pale.emperor inso im walking through town today on my lunchbreak and spot the unmistakable walk of my younger brother.
this is the one who left watchtower... well it turns out he's returned to the vomit after stupidly turning up to the 2017 convention and a few elders filling his head with seeing our dead dad in paradise and to "wait on jehovah".. a few meters behind him was my sister.
she spotted me first, then hurried up her step to my brother.

It must have been the wave. They aren't used to that. You gotta mix it up! Next time, no waving. I repeat, no waving! Instead, go for the Devil Horns. If you aren't familiar, see a tutorial about Ronnie James Dio. He will properly show you how to do the "curse" or devil horns. Then you can throw that sign at them next time. Maybe they will feel better? But it's worth a try!

JW Parents getting... DIVORCED

1.) You are a grown woman, living outside your parents home with a boyfriend. Why are you complaining about not being on their health insurance? Frankly, that is YOUR problem. At your age, you should NOT be dependent upon mommy and daddy for everything, especially car insurance! So frankly, them cutting the cord on that is WAY over due.
2.) Your mom probably got sick of your stepfather treating her like crap. Always at the Kingdom Hall? Very little affection or sexual intimacy? Sick of his crap? Getting more attention outside of the home, then in? C-ya, loser! Can't ask someone to remain miserable forever.

If WT are cutting back on mags will they also cut back on Bethelites?
by truthseeker ini was thinking after hearing about the agm cutbacks to the mags and other website content surely they will end up dismissing more bethelites?
i would have thought in the old days, before the web, an artist or writer at bethel would have been a full time job making content for four 32 page mags a month.
now what are these guys going to do?.

Yeah, hurry up and build the new UK HQ on the Sheeple's dime and time, and then put it right up on the auction block. Rake in that $$$$$$$.
I'm honestly not surprised by all these closing and layoffs. To me, since the new Warwick Cult Compound was completed, and it is so huge, there really is no use for ANY of the branches, anywhere. Every single piece of literature, video, etc can be produced at Warwick and distributed worldwide. Heck, with today's global printing industry, it's probably just cheaper to write the literature, send it to the proper printing facility in that country, and have it printed off for the Congregations and delivered. WT Org is totally streamlined. I foresee a future where the Warwick HQ is THE ONLY facility on the globe. Totally centralized.

Damon Wayans was apparently at 2017 Annual Meeting
by Richard_I infrom this post on reddit.com/r/exjw, damon wayans was at the 2017 annual meeting.
the wayans were raised as jw's but i don't think any of them stated.. strange to see him here.
this is the same man who defended bill cosby from all the sex abuse allegations..

The only active member of the Wayons clan that I recall, was the sister, who was also on "In Living Color" with her brothers. After the show, she married an Elder and left entertainment.
Hard to believe Damon would actually be involved with this crap. Honestly? I think it's just a guy that really LOOKS like Damon Wayons.

It's tragic to be sure, but it really makes one wonder how JW's will spin this. What do I mean?
Well for one, since when do die-hard JW's attend worldly concerts and festivals in Sin City, LAS VEGAS????
Answer: They don't. I can almost guarantee this woman will be held up as an example of what NOT to do, labeled as "weak", and also have it stated that she got was she deserved for being wrapped up and attending such "worldly" events. If she had been at home studying her WT literature and preparing for Monday morning Field Service, she wouldn't have been there and not have had to worry about being killed by some maniac who was controlled by Satan. See what happens when you mix with "the World?" And on, and on, and on. The remaining family will be given little sympathy for their loss, and instead, have to hear the "tsk, tsk" from the local old holier-than-thou Piosneer Sister bitches.

I'm honestly FOR more gun laws that restrict what types of people have access to weapons. Silencers are the least of the problem. I can make a Silencer out of a Maglite flashlight casing and some ordinary items found in your local hardware store. No law against it could change my ability to do it. Any "loop holes" SHOULD be closed. I go to plenty of "Gun Shows", and in this state (Pennsylvania) you can't just walk in, slap money down on the table, and walk out with a firearm. Proper ID, paperwork, and immediate insta-check background check is req'd. This whole "Gun Show" crap I hear touted out, is absolute bullshit!!
Timothy McVeigh used a U-Haul truck filled with ammonium nitrate to detonate and kill hundreds of people in 1995. No gun req'd. Same thing on 9/11......box cutters and planes. These sick people are going to kill people no matter what, if that is their intention.
There have been guns in America since it's very inception. Up until I'd say about the 1960's, they weren't a problem. Kids would take .22's out and hunt squirrels. Boys had them mounted to the back inside of their pickup truck window's as they drove to school. No one did anything, no one killed anyone, and if they did, it was a very, VERY rare occurrence. Society as a whole is totally F*CKED on this planet.
Anyway, they have strict knife laws in Australia and Europe. No lock-back knives, autos, or anything over a 2" blade. Funny, the freakin' Islam-o-turds use machette's and AK's when they go hunting infidels in Europe. Oh, and vans. They seem to just LOVE running thru crowds with vans. No guns allowed. Hmmm. This world has gone to shit, truly it has. I'm up for moving to Washington State, Idaho, or Montana. As close to Canada as I can get, without actually have to live with their restrictive laws and shitty healthcare system. The southern USA has been overrun with illegal immigrants, bedbugs, exotic mosquito's, brown recluse spiders, and those new "Kissing Bugs". Screw that. I'm up for cooler, rural climate.

For anyone not in the USA not familiar with our gun laws:
1.) Felons (convicted criminals) are not allowed to purchase firearms of any kind.
2.) People with a history of mental illness which led to them being involuntarily committed to a mental institution, may not purchase or own a firearm.
3.) Anyone thrown out of the military cannot purchase/own a firearm.
4.) Illegal aliens cannot purchase/own a firearm.
5.) Background checks are done INSTANTLY at dealers, thru the phone, to check your credentials, citizenship, military record, criminal record, etc. No one can anonymously buy a firearm. If you are a firearm owner, and sell a firearm yourself, you and your firearm purchaser must go to a firearm dealer to have the insta-check done and the paperwork completed.
6.) Not just anyone can own a fully automatic weapon. That is a class 3 license, etc. You'd have to be practically military, ex-military, or current law enforcement to even qualify. You can be a regular citizen, but the background check, paperwork, and just the MONEY it costs to apply disqualifies most. And the weaponry? Only a Class 3 FFL dealer even have automatic weapons, and if you don't have $25,000.00 just lying around, guess what? You are not in that league.
The nutcases you see with fully automatic weapons are converting them themselves which is against the law. But then again, they are criminals that have probably stolen semi-automatic weapons to begin with, and therefore don't care about the laws.
There are millions of firearm owners in this country, and TRILLIONS of rounds of ammunition. 99.95% of us are responsible. The gangs, criminals and thugs steal from them from us, use them, and continue to resell them. How did a Somali immigrant get a gun and shoot up a Baptist Church the other week? Not because he could legally get one, that's for damn sure!!!
Time will tell what this new shooter in Las Vegas was up to. He was a 64 yr old guy. Who knows if he was ex-Military, and screwed up in the head? Who knows if he had converted to radical Islam? I can tell you this though from watching the video, he had something along the lines of an AK-47, or possibly an M-40, M-60 machine gun. I'd say AK-47, due to the rounds fired before he had to grab another magazine and reload. A true machine gun is usually belt fed. He could have shot hundreds of rounds before reloading if it was an M-60. And this guy was up 30+ floors, and NOT out on the balcony. There was ZERO muzzle flash shown on the video's I've seen. He was back in the room, using cover like a sniper, but spraying the crowd.
A truly sad day for America. But hey, this is not supposed to be political forum, right? These threads never end well on this forum, usually due to the Canucks and UK, etc telling the USA how much better they all have it since they are un-armed Sheeple. To them I ask, "How's that working out for you? How does living under the Queen/King rule, working out for you? How are you enjoying your Islamic slums governed by Sharia Law?" Don't worry, we got it hear too.......in America we call it Dearborn, Michigan. It looks like the Middle East in Dearborn.
