mine was actually great because my non-jw parents decided to pay for the reception, limo, cake, dress, honeymoon, and more.
i can thank my non-jw parents for what a totally fun day it was.. but, half or more of the guests were jws, jws who don't speak to me anymore.
some have even slandered and abused me.
Know who I regret being at my wedding 10 years ago? My IN-LAWS, ALL of them. They're not even JW's, but make JW's look like angels. They are two-faced, self-centered narcassists. They've insulted me and my family, my son, emotionally abused me, slandered me, and are completely manipulative. I can honestly say that if I'd have known what for vipers I was surrounded by, I probably wouldn't have gotten married, and instead run for the hills. My own wife barely speaks to her own parents anymore, and for good reason. Vapid vipers, all of them. Looking at my wedding photos is now painfull indeed.

Wrong guys. I saw on another discussion board this very topic yesterday. The guys running this are NOT new to this business. It is set up kind of like a non-profit, but all the board members are JW "Higher-ups", including GB Member Albert Schroeder's son, Judah Schroeder, and quite possibly that one JW guy who ran the auto-leasing business that provided cars to the CO's, DO's, and Bethel heavies.
Apparently Judah Schroeder's worldly education pays off? Oh, and the cost to live at this assisted living facility? Rooms start at $3000.00 per month, so if you a pauper JW, better rely on your "Worldly" family or DF'd loved ones for support in your golden years, cause this business caters to the rich old geezer JW's who invested in 401K's, didn't have childen, etc. SUCKERS!!!

will someone take over the publishing of the books or will the books go out of print?
those books are too important and need to be published for the next generation.. .
Know what would be absolutely awful? If the WTBTS didn't use some shell company to try and buy the rights from Commentary Press, so that they could then quash Ray's books once and for all time. (at least in print). Long live the free internet, where Ray's (and others) books wil always be lurking somehow, somewhere, for free in PDF format for each new "Generation" to discover in some storage website somewhere.
Knowledge is power. Those who control information have power and can rewrite history as they choose. Scary.

Here's another point in response to her stating that the JW's have to use anything within their means to get out the message:
If that is the case, why do they not have their own satelitte TV network? Even the Mormons have BYU channel on my DirectTV, so why does Jehovah allow the Mormons to have their own satelite TV channel, and not the JW's? Think of the MILLIONS, maybe even BILLIONS of people you could instantly reach with this "life-saving" message, if only the Governing Body wouldn't be so cheap and invest a few million of their moldy money to do such? How about a free station on Pandora internet radio?
I said this once to an Elder and he was totally awe-struck at the concept! I mean, you could really see the wheels turning as to why he had to knock on doors of empty houses every week, when instead the WTBTS could be in people's homes at the touch of a button if so desired. It was when I had this realization myself that I came to the conclusion that the "Field Ministry" was nothing more than busy-work to keep the rank-and-file too busy on the hamster wheel to slow down and think about the rotten spiritual banquet they were being perpetually served. BUSY-WORK.

I own LOTS of firearms and love to target shoot. From pistols to rifles I luv 'em and always have. So much fun.
