3 years ago you say? Gather yourself up, go back to that talent agency and musical figure, and tell them what happened. Tell them you are a victim of being born into a highly controlling CULT, and that 3 years ago you didn't have the strength to pull yourself out of it. Then, beg their forgiveness and ask them if they'd consider giving you a second chance. If you were any good at all, they will do so. Then pack your bags, and get on with your life. Get busy living, or get busy dying. The choice is YOURS. Do it right now, and don't look back. If you don't, you'll always be looking back thinking, "What if?" -

I am 36. From the age of 17 to 24, I would have fit in with this old group of old "inactive but believers." However, once I started truly diving into the FACTS of the matter on the internet, it was all over. I believed, (always had questions/doubts) but I was completely inactive and lived how I chose. I never got baptized either, as I knew that was a total trap. Jesus was 30, so no hurry!
The attitude of "to hell with this sh*t, I'm not living my life like this," is not new to the newer teenage "Facebook Generation." Not at all. In the 1990's, my generation was totally FED UP with the over-the-top rules about dating, no education, no extra-circular activities, and being made a laughing stock out of at school. 95% of the JW's I grew up with, LEFT - permanently - never to return. What evidence can I site to prove my statement? Why, the WT's own literature and talks that's what! The complete lack of male "servents" from my age group is astounding. There practically are none. You've got 50-60-70+ yr old guys as MS and Elders, with no new blood in site! WT management is practically BEGGING for "qualified males" to "reach out" and take the reigns of MS and Elder positions. But I ask you, whom is there to do so? Crickets are chirping. Even the few left, don't want it due to time constraints, family, and working that janitorial job hard to make ends meet. They saw how their own fathers were never around and worked nearly to death, and many Elder's sons I knew will NEVER become Elders. In fact, 95% of the Elder's kids - LEFT!
The newer "Facebook Generation" is even more quick to say, "To hell with this sh*t", and then "unfriend" the entire religion at the drop of "give us your ice cream money, and don't look on the internet!" then ever before. As for the older ones I knew as a child, including my own grandparents and parents? They all passed away, never having seen the Great Tribulation they all drooled over. I can't even go back to them and ask, "What were you thinking, following these men? Did you research the history of this cult at ALL?" Really upsets me sometimes.

Old joke from "The Breakfast Club."
"So, I told my psychologist that I'm a nymphomaniac."
"Oh, what did he did?"
"He nailed me."

'Seek the Kingdom First' Economics
by Tornintwo inhas anyone else's family finances been victim to the 'seek the kingdom first' economic policy?.
for years, my husband and i have had our own business, my husband is not the most proactive guy, prefers to go in field service than to work, but he has always encouraged me to 'rely on jehovah and all these other things will be added to you', 'seek the kingdom first' etc etc.
there have been times, such as when i was heavily pregnant and we lost a big deal, that i have been begging jehovah on hands and knees to honour that promise, wondering why he wasn't helping us.

Last time I checked, Congregations paid the bills, not the WT/GB paying the Sheeple's bills. Who are they to dictate what level of education, job, income level we obtain? They need a dose of reality. Sitting up there on their compound by the lake, espousing how everyone should be like them, living high off the hog. The freakin' balls these people have never ceases to amaze me. Total lack of a sense of reality, cause they've never had to live in reality, just a made-up JW fantasy La-La Land while they wait for a future panda-petting paradise. Craziness. -

I'm confused, he's talking about himself, isn't he?
Those bible verses seem to describe JW's of today to a "T".
Ravenous wolves in sheep's clothing.

Hey! What do you know? I too am a nymphomaniac. I've suffered from it all my life. I've masturbated since I can first remember, and hated being made to feel guilty about something I felt I couldn't help. Repressing my urges only made me a basket-case. Come to find out as an adult, that men NEED to masturbate, or else they are at high risk for prostate cancer later in life. There's something scientific that you'll never hear in a Kingdom Hall.
You are so lucky to not have been "born in" like I was and be repressed and socially stunted. I really envy you that you recognized the BS early on and got out early. Not saying I agree with bisexuality, but it doesn't matter; it's YOUR life, my opinion doesn't matter.
Welcome, and best of luck to you.

Reading the Bible in 6 months isn't "anything to brag about" - Anthony Morris
by mac n cheese inthe 2015 annual meeting, specifically, part 1, right about minute 27, has anthony morris emphasizing that "you're better off reading one chapter (of the bible) and really absorbing it" than just reading the whole thing "as a challenge".
while i agree with the the whole idea of meditating on anything you read, it was doing this very thing that brought up so many unanswered questions.
i also came to the constant realization that the jws did not have a clue about what the bible really said.

Rubber-faced Lett's talk is a real kicker as well. Talking about "imitation Christians", "Brazen Conduct," etc.
What a buffoon!!

So everyone who dresses in Brooks Brothers suits, wears a Rolex, and doesn't think smoking dope and having orgies is a Republican?
That's like me saying all Liberals are long haired hippies who smoke dope, like orgies, like gay sex too, endorse Abortions no matter what, want to legalize all hard drugs, and drive Prius to their job at the farm collective.

Fighting about college
by cognac inmy nephew is a sweet, smart, thoughtful person.
he wants to go to college.. normally, a mom would be proud to have a son like this.. nope, not a friggin jw mom.
apparently, he's being selfish to both her and jehovah.

So what you are saying is that your nephew is smart, AND gay? Something tells me he needs to get out of Dodge, and quick, before he's "discovered" and the pitchforks (JC) come for him.
