  Coronavirus Positive

  hey all,.

  i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

  i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

  some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.

  some will walk near their homes and run right back in.

  meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..

  my old user account says i joined this forum 19 years ago, an intermittent poster starting 102 topics, the last about 12 years ago.

  with my community under a volunteer stay-at-home policy and a mandatory curfew, i took the time to read all of my old posts and the replies, reminding me of how informative and therapeutic this forum was during my jw to ex-jw transition.. in 2018, my life took another turn with the death of my wife of 49-1/2 years after a long illness.

  my writing, according to observers, lost its edge and purpose.. i travelled to asia, meeting a beautiful, intelligent woman in cagayan de oro, philippines, 33 years my junior.

  today all jw's in holland are informed that all meetings, the preaching work and the circuits are halted / closed because of sars-covid-19 / "corona".

  first till march, 30 and then maybe longer.. the first time that the jw work in holland completely stopped.

  the memorial will be held only for jw's.

  I recently heard that Biden was considering asking Michelle Obama to be his Vice President. As far back as January. Would she accept? I don't see why, as she and the Community Organizer are living large in their fucking mansions and raking in the $$$$. She's "movin' on up!!!!" and she doesn't need the headache of being VP and babysitter to Biden. Interesting idea though from Biden's camp; attempting to win over the female and people of colour vote. However, this could backfire spectacularly if Michelle opened her mouth the wrong way as VP pick Sarah Palin did years ago.

  Biden isn't even cognizant. He actually said in a rally the other week, that he was the Democratic candidate for US SENATE!!!!!!!! I am NOT kidding. That is NOT a good sign for him. He looks like he should be entering a nursing home. Same with Bernie. Crazy old codgers. Even Hilary has Bernie down; been in the Senate for like 30 years, hasn't done JACK SHIT. No one likes him, no one wanted to work with him. But he thinks he Presidential material? lol!!!! Delusional old windbag from Vermont. "Meh chedder! Meh maple syrup! Meh free stuff!!"

  Sanders is such a Socialist (actually, Communist in disguise) that the true Democrats will NOT vote for him. They'd rather vote for Bloomberg if they had to.

  And the Sanders supports will NOT vote for Biden!! So a party divided, will NOT win the Presidency. I am frankly STUNNED that these old rich white clowns are the best the Democratic party could come up with? I thought for sure Booker would go a lot further. Butt-e-gig was at least a Veteran and young. Kinda surprised he threw in the towel so early.

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.
