  Will there ever be another Ray Franz?

  will any other governing body member - present or future - ever have as much impact as he did.

  will anyone else have enough strength of character, personal integrity and balls to step down and speak out?.

  Realist,

  I've been thinking about "mass exodus." Since 1994 I've met hundreds who've left JWs as a result of Ray's books. Each of them knew probably scores of others. The books have enjoyed a tremendous circulation so far in 12 languages. While the majority of JWs are not leaving at the moment, it's hard to say what the end result will eventually be.

  the emphasis of the organization's talks and "encouragement" is to continue believing everything that the "slave" has said because it comes from the "slave" and therefore comes through god.

  if you have a doubt, know that it comes from satan.

  if you don't understand the watchtower's interpetation of bible prophecy, wait on jehovah and just continue doing what we tell you to do.

  When I was a JW, I had no head to think with for most of those years. I read barely anything but what the WT funnelled into my brain, and it was like them running me with a steering wheel.

  Here's my take: Martin Luther and other brilliant men didn't bring about the end of the Catholic Church. So I doubt that a hundred men like Raymond Franz, as decent, scholarly and honest as he is, could accomplish anything more than the Reformers did if, indeed, that was their intention.
