i have never been a jw, but i have lived literally surrounded by them since i married my wife, almost 20 years ago.

since i never raised a fuss before, i guess i was also brain-washed into thnking that their religion was harmless and the leaders were well intended.. i have been reading your comments for many months and have come to realize how harmful the religion is.

your comments have been mostly about the pain inflicted by shunning, deception in the literature, and the views on higher education.

jw apologists or anyone, convince us why you are sure that jesus appointed the watchtower society in 1919 using the bible alone.

Lets not forget that the whole idea of making these caculations, was from some un none guy named John A Brown, a nobody or a demon possesed man??

A statan inspired quack? Jesus said its is not in our juristiction. This is were religions get themselves in to trouble, even Russel new this yet did it any way.

watchtower on blood from the barnyard .

today i added a new article to my blog providing an image file from a very hard to find issue of consolation date december 23, 1943. it disparages blood from the barnyard used in transfusion medicine.

but, as it turns out, what watchtower disparaged is now saving lives, among jehovahs witnesses.

the US military announced getting away from blood transfusions last year. I did not read any thing about the announcment my self but wonder if in the fine print they are actually going to this type of cows blood.

Luke 28:29 is a blatent mistranslation to support thier idea that only the Anoited get the new covenant and christ as mediator. Here in this verse they use the word covenant to imply that it connected to or the same as the New Covenant, but in all reality the words here mean to Appiont, Promise or to Bestow, the closes the greek words can come to mean any thing close to covenant is the word Convey. The New Covenant is a contract between two parties and Jesus is Mediator between the two. The Org changed the words here to imply that we as christians are not the adopted Sons of God for only the sons of God are the anointed and are also the ones promised to sit on throne in the heavenly kingdom.

think this may help all new members here and any lurkers in the back ground,who may be struggeling with the conscience.

i'am not a jw but when i came across this short vid my jaw was on the floor.

how can some body get away with such blatant lies and deception was beond me at the time, now i know differently.

The bible alone blows up thier 607 bce. crap, Jerimiah chapter 25 shows that the 70 years of desloation was for all the nations as they were to be dominated by Babylon. And exactly 70 years 609 bce. when the last hope of the Assyrians empire was dashed by their last major city Harin or Haran being destroyed until 537 bce. when Babylon was then conquered by the Persians. The Bible does not lie, people do.

So best way to get elders off my back? last meeting at my house over the blood doctrine a early this week, now they want to meet again with me after them doing some resurch at the hall Monday, think may be ambush. Was thinking of just saying that i now realize that Jehovah still used imperfect men that screwed up bad like Aaron and David so that is how i was thinking of explaining away my doubts about the org. because of many of thiers problems, now the blood issue just saying some thing like thats not in my pervue to even worry about it for jesus rebuked the leaders of his day and not the regular people and so it on the leaders problem if wrong or right and Jehovah will clear matters up

Thanks for everyones help in back pedal mode now and will keep you posted. Should of learned to keep my big mouth shut, but man i can now really see the brainwashing. These people can't even think strait logic out the window, reallizing that DFing is about keeping thier mind set nothing more. New meeting the elders want me to meet them at hall, smell a Judicial ambush going to cancel on them.

first post, been lurking for a bit. I have been seeing problems in the Org for a couple of years now and could not come up with any answers. Recently i researched the topics of mediator and new covenant and thats when the sh8t hit the fan. Wife found out and called the elders, after them not being able to answer or show me how i was wrong i sent a letter in to headquarters. Next big mistake while resurching the blood doctrine i thought that maybe we were wrong on that, and brought the scriptures to my wife, hoping that she would aleast maybe understand why now i question the valididty of the doctrine and did not want kids at risk until i new more. More elders, after meeting with them and them coming back in a week after doing research, thier going to be looking for a desicion by me as wether im in or out of the org. Mean time wifes thinking of moving out and taking the kids using some spiritual endangerment clause thing.

I'm not prepered for this, not even sure if i want to leave yet, i'm hoping for a way to if i leave to enlighten and yet still instill in my children godly morals and practices. Every thing is happening to fast and if wife goes it maybe very hard to even talk with the children. Please advise how to un wind this mess utill i'm better prepared??? Sorry for the bad spelling.
