They aren't getting many to join at all anymore thats why they need to baptize the babies. With so many leaving many more becoming inactive because they have bills to pay and older ones dying this cult really is on the down turn. I'd say they have less then 5 million baptized and falling. Also so many are just not taking it seriously any more too. They go for social reasons and out in service once in awhile but that's it. The cult has really become a joke. Reminds me of the Hary Krishnas .

Today's W.T on GB not being inspired is having ZERO impact on most J.W's
by Isambard Crater inthe congregation i attend had it's watchtower study on thursday night because of l.d.c work this week-end, and another congregation i have some not very spiritual friends in had their watchtower study on wednesday.
from what i have delicately prised out of people, the congregations loved the watchtower study this week, saying it was so encouraging and all the usual stuff, with no-one seeming to realise the g.b.
said they're not inspired, so the spirit int he past has moved them to teach wrong things, and all the other ideas excellently summed up on reddit.. today's watchtower will wash over the heads of most j.w's like it never even happened, the all remaining as loyal as ever, and it makes me so, so sad..

People just except it because it come from an authority figure in thier lives. Take the example of the overlapping generation teaching. I excepted it for years even talked about it and tried to make sense of it too. When it didn't seem to make sense oh well and just moved on. It was learning about the blood doctrine and the mediator teaching that finally woke me up. 607 and all the other false dates were added in and probably some other crap before I woke to how stupid the overlapping generation teaching was.
This will go over most people heads but as people wake up it will become just another nail in the coffin of thier belief in the cult.

Spoke To Two Sisters At A Witnessing Cart Today

i didnt approach them, as circumstances would have it i was out in liverpool city center with my 3yo and she was carrying a teddy and a balloon.
she caught the balloon on something sharp and it popped and so she started crying.

by snowbird inmy oldest daughter once worked at a convenience store/gas station for a muslim gentleman.. he had two sons - the older one @ university, and the younger worked with my daughter.. well, my daughter said the younger was blackmailing the older because the older was in possession of a bible!.

There was a site in northern Mexico that was a dig site they had it dated to about 150,000 years ago as well. The lead archeologist career was destroyed for even mentioning the idea that humans lived that long ago in the Americans. They should reopen the site and compare information.

Hanging out with JWs is exhausting!

however, some old “friends” i know drove down to town to assist and i ended up spending some time with them.

I no longer have any friends in the cult but yeah it the same with my own family wife and kids. They still go to meeting and I don't. They have to watch what they say and will not bring up any JW or spiritual things. It is a bit crazy, it's also crazy that my wife's friends , some whom were mine can't go out and have a meal with me and my wife because I would be there and I'm evil being inactive and all.

I would have to say no. The USA still has the all mighty dollar, it's still the gold standard currency of the world. With that in place and the military which light years ahead of China there's not much hope for anyone to take the US place at the top.
In order for a new country to arise It would mean a country or set of countries would have to dislodge the US dollar from its perch and the currency used to buy oil and the whole banking industries use of the dollar including the World Bank and the IMF. These banks are the credit cards for most of the other countries in the world and thier slaves to them.
These countries would have to do all this with out the US having a clue and getting thier military involved. Sudam Hussein tried it but didn't realize what he was stepping into and we see what happened to him. Countries are eroding the US influence by making trade deals with one another and not including the US and its currency in the deal but it will take time. As these countries make these deals the US pushes back.
In the end it will be the US that will kill it self off much the way Rome did.

Could the WT teach, "kill gay people" and claim freedom of religion?
by Bad_Wolf incould the wt publish articles about how gay people should be killed and if a friend or family member turns out to be gay, that they should kill them and if they don't they will die at armageddon, etc?
i always see the argument that wt can never be liable or lawsuit about shunning because, 'nobody is forced to shun'.
'shunning is a personal choice'.

Circumcision....Perfect Adam....Uncircumcised....1st century Christians...circumcision ont required
by blondie ini know this has been discussed many times, but i was watching a news story about female genital mutilation (not female circumcision) and segued mentally into why the hassle about male babies having to be circumcised, christians especially.
even the wts flipflops on this...... if adam, the first perfect man, not under the jewish law code, was given a foreskin by god as an aspect of his physical perfection, why then do so many "christian" people have their boy babies circumcised?.
if a health issue....why did god create the perfect man, adam, with a foreskin?.

Before I was awake I didn't circumcise my boys because as true Christians were no longer under that law covenant. Now that I'm awake I found that before Abraham existed if he even did the Egyptians were already preforming this act of male circumcision as seen on the wall of one of thier temples.
So the Abrahamic covenant was nothing special and didnt make his offspring unique. What it maybe showing is infact the connection of Abrahams god with that of maybe an Egyptian god.
