  it’s a three for one deal.

  about 10 years ago they merged 3 struggling rural congregations into one in the largest town.

  at the time there were about 75 publishers.

  I love to read about the decline, I remember reading just a couple years ago about a CO making the comment here in my area that they’re loosing 6 people per circuit assembly and back then they were having two of those per year per circuit. So that’s 12 people per circuit per year. Nice healthy decline.

  Not sure if that the case all over or just my area but it’s been calculated that the cults loosing based on their own numbers 1 million members per decade worldwide. Now if those numbers stay that way or go up and those coming in go down which we know they have their in trouble, and I like that!

  it’s quite affirming to see the horrific material that they’re serving up at the convention this year.

  aside from blatant homophobia, the scenes at the end of the convention that are discussed on another thread stoop to new levels of fear mongering.

  it seems to occur to nobody inside the organisation that this kind of material could trigger fear, deprsssion, anxiety, stress.

  i went to a funeral yesterday and ran into a jdub.

  of course, he approached me and it didn't take more than a minute into the conversation for him to get into the jdub gloom and doom mode.

  he said that world conditions have never been as bad as they are now.. i looked straight into his eyes and said, "i think that world conditions were a lot worse during world war two.".

  I’ve heard story about another guy but not so much about Jaracz, but anything is possible when people think their better then everyone else and are exalted kings because they had a feeling one day. Sound like several possible mental problems to me.

  you may have heard that before the genesis document (of the bible) was written there was a flood story circulating in west asia.. if your short of time, here's a 5 minute video by irving finkel discussing a flood story document written in cuneiform.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbfr-9us31k.

  of course, the christian argument may be that the bible had the original (truthful) version and the cuneiform story came later.

  but that's so difficult to prove.

  Experts in the field claim that the writings found in Sumer were much older then anything that’s ever been written in the Bible. Another think to consider is if Moses was alive around 1500 BCE then what language did he write his writings in because the form of Hebrew used wasn’t around yet. Also did Moses travel to Sumer because most of the stories found in Genesis were found there but none mention a god Jehovah.

  Its also interesting that Moses was born then put into a basket and floated down a river yet this had already been done by Sargon’s mother and another woman in India with her son.

  Unfortunately this action by her and the note she left will just be used by the JWs as proof that you shouldn’t leave their cult. Nothing in the details about her sexual abuse or anything that could show that their teachings and actions could have drove her to this end.

  two books that i purchased recently for my research into the latter centuries bce open in similar fashion, having to explain the use of the term, "hebrews' scriptures".

  I find it odd that any of the scriptures were in Hebrew, maybe Deuteronomy but since Aramaic was so popular at the time.
