  i read somewhere that the main reason the gb did not want the malawian jw's to buy the party card was because the money went to the war effort.

  The JW's are so brainwashed that the last elder i talked to about this and my really having a problem with the blood doctrine said that he did'nt think blood transfusions saved any lives. Thats right these guys are so brainwashed that they believe that no blood tranfusion works to save a life even when suffering major blood loss like in a car accident.

  I do agree that anything done in the medical field must be questioned by the paitent because western medicine is quick to over use and over prescibe but we should all be realistic when reading a artichle like this and not give credit where credit is not do, esspecially where there is no evidence that the JW's had any scriptural reason to all of a sudden start not allowing blood transfucions in 1945 when it was ok for years.

  that is a very difficult question to answer since the wt doesnt publish its accounts.

  but some countries require from charities to make public theirs finances.

  i've been thought the wt accounts published for canada, uk and new zealand for 2012. .

  Does God really have a personal name?

  the bible says that the personal name of god is jehovah/yahweh/jah etc.thing is,we don't know it's correct pronounciation (or the pronounciation of any hebrew name).the name jehovah as we know it today means "he causes to become".someone who causes something to become is just called "creator" or "maker".right?he gave that name to his self so that people or the angels could call him by a name.also,how was he called before the creation of the anything?how can some people claim to be his friends if they don't know his actual name?discuss.

  What I find interesting is there is a couple of scriptures saying something to the 'I will take out a people for my name'. This is one of the reasons JW's think they're gods chosen because of this and the name they have chosen for themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. But when God changed the name of Isaac or Jacob (can't remeber which) he changed it to IsraEl after Elohim and later in the new testament were the spiritual nation is referred to IsraEl of God. So Even though the Jews refer to the Elohim as meaning just God, since they were monotheism could it still not be the name God chose for himself?

  if there's one scripture that defines the entire purpose of a jehovah's witness's existence, it's matthew 24:14.

  "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.".

  this is the entire purpose of going door to door.

  Not to mention jesus said go preach the good news about the Kingdom, because he was humble. Really the Good news is about Jesus. There's over 100 mentionings of the good news in the bible about Jesus and only 8 directly about the Kingdom. So this is just another case of the JW's trying to be different, 'let not be Jesus Witnesses or preach about Jesus as the messiah like the apostles did, no we have to be different from all other christians religions so let change things a little'.

  I have never heard that an apostate was a tax collector, Jesus said to treat these ones as tax collectors and how would one treat a tax collector back then? Well unless they wanted taxed out of thier home and in to jail they did not shun the tax collectors.

  I remember reading the account in Thessilonians were Paul is telling the brothers to not eat with this man, basiclly because he was taking advantage of thier hospitality, would'nt work just show up and eat for free. At the end of the verses paul says 'to keep admonishing him as a brother'.

  So how can shunning the way we do it be correct when Paul said as a brother, when we shun we view the individual as no longer being a brother.
