  Do you still believe in God?

  i never thought i would admit it, but i don't.

  i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.

  as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

  Its interesting that in the old testament people didn't have to have faith but supposedly got proof from seeing God or seeing a miracle to prove he was real. Then in the new testament after the apostles died off it has become all about faith. So there is now more people on the planet then ever before and more religions, yet God does nothing and we are all supposed to just have faith and believe.

  Well after the tsunami that hit a few years back then the Haitian earthquake and now having a daughter that's experiences some of the highest levels of pain any human has. I have no faith, fuck God, he's a piece of shit if he exists, for he does nothing for mankinds plight and suffering. I have more love in my left testicle then he does is his entire being again if he exists at all. I don't believe as you can tell and the Bible God is the worst of all the God's.

  A fresh start

  after the worst introduction i could ever make on the forum i would like to reintroduce myself and make a fresh start on the forum and hopefully over time i will be able to redeem myself.

  i have changed my user name which was over dramatic and ridiculous in the cold light of day but for transparency and to show i am not trying to hide anything i have adapted the original name and it now has a more positive feel.

  after reading a lot of posts on this forum i am feeling more optimistic about my future.

  Why the Deficit at the Circuit Assembly?

  have you ever wondered why there is always a deficit at the circuit assembly?

  did you realize that before the program begins, the circuit is already in the red?

  many of the friends thought they were paying for the use of the building and covering the costs of the utilities, etc.

  just looking for some of your views / advice:i am divorced and am together with my dear boy every second weekend for 2.5 days.

  he is now 3 years old and heavily indoctrinated by his mum and grandmother.today he told me: "daddy, jehovah is high up in heaven.

  we can't see him, but he is there.

  I'm starting to think not saying anything is a bad idea, it gives the other side time to completely indoctrinate and then undoing it is very hard. I would maybe say that many people believe there is no God because he never shows himself or does anything to help people.

  Fading tactic that worked well for me

  if you read some of my past posts you’ll know that i’ve successfully faded while being able to keep contact with my immediate family, who are still very devout jws.

  when i did finally completely stop attending meetings, my family, and especially my parents (elder father and pioneer mom), were of course very interested to know the reasons why.

  at first i deflected their questions, stating that i had personal reasons and did not want to explain myself.

  There has been several that stated this worked for them even a CO and his wife in Australia stated this and were not dfd. It may work, loosing ones faith is a hard issue forbthe elders. If they df you then it may back fire on them with ones that know the reasons why you no longer attend. How is anyone going to gain faith if there being punished for not having any? Maybe everyone's best strategy.

  i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

  Go back tell them you we're having some issues but through pray you have had them resolved. Never admit to being on any apostate sites. After your back in start preparing your self for a new life out side of the cult. Then when your prepared better start fading away.

  has anyone seen the film dont know if its been discussed on here, im just watching it now with my dad he is an elder, he went to do something else less than a 1/4 way through the film, he doesnt usually do that.

  then he questioned why i choose to watch it not suspiciously i think he was just curious.

  anyway its a film worth watching, its based on true events about the coverup of child abuse within the catholic church.

  Perry you need to wake man, just read about all the Bible prophecies that didn't come true then try to still be a believer. Also the sayings of Christ telling some of his followers he would return before some of them died. Not to metion the congregation in Revelations he says to hold fast until he returns. This congregation no longer exists. Another problem is he says 5 times in the last chapter of the Bible he will be back so soon. Really, when someone gains knowledge yet still believes he is just delusional, or insane there is no other explanation.

  if you go to their bible at genesis 18: starting at verse 3 you will read that abraham sees jehovah yep sees him, with a couple of other men (angel's) then talks to him about getting water to wash his feet.

  then he runs to sarah and talks to her about preparing food for jehovah.

  so let me get this strait abraham sees jehovah face to face, jehovah has feet and apparently likes to eat human food too.
