  Great post and so true. I could never understand this idea that God had allowed suffering to prove we need him either. Doesn't make any sence, if any diety showed up and started acctually helping mandkind people would start worshipping him and giving praises. No need to make people suffer especially just because some ignorant naked young woman eats an apple.

  I don't think it says inn The proclaimed book that Russel predicted Armageddon in 1914. They show the pyramid graph with all the dates missing. Them I think they just imply that they predicted the end of the gentile times and how Jesus took his thrown Russel getting it all right. He sounds awake to me.

  in the older writings of the Enuma Elish thier was 7 tablets of creation. Some surmise that the 7 days of creation was a play on these seven tablets since there is some similarities.

  i don't know about your experiences, but for my brother and his family, going from catholic to witness was [is] a disaster.

  he's an elder and wouldn't admit it, but his health and portfolio have drastically declined since his conversion to the jw faith.

  it is apparent to all who love him.

  in my hall I quit going and have been busy with work making more money then ever. Health is ok too, knock on wood. In the mean time at the hall they have had 25 plus car accidents a bunch of people in serious health problems , people out of work loosing jobs etc. A friend I work with and refur work is also doing well since he left but the ones in his hall are also having finacial issues. So we're the ones that are blessed and the JW's are miserable.

  Much todo about nothing

  i was with a friend that had a surgery and of course they are witnesses and they went through all the blood documents before surgery.

  then with another friend they prayed to the great bull god jah and thanked him for all the bloodless techniques now used by the hospital etc.

  the doctor made it clear that the chance of even needing blood was minimal and the surgery now is real easy.

But man they have to make a big deal over nothing. Its all about them and the god that only cares for them.

  One thing I did notice is that the hospital mention the use of bovine products more then once. I asked and they said Hemopure is not used in the USA. Wonder what company is now supplying bovine products?

  Old goat what's your opinion on when Jesus is said to be born? Some say the gospel of Mathew points to 6bce and Luke 6 AD. One of the big discrepancies between the two gospels is the Syrian governor ordering a census and the life of king Herod. According to records Herod was dead before the governor of Syria was governor. So there seems to be a 12 year difference between Matthew and Luke's accounts of Jesus birth?

  so for the first time ever i went to a church service at my local church (coe) and i have to say it was awful!

  it was just like a ritual.

  the vicar would say something and then the congregation would all say a phrase in unison back to him.

  I went to a non denominational church and it was great. A friend of mind suggested it after he went and visited several other churches even non denominational ones. You can't just give up and go back to the witnesses because one church service was all wrong. I can try to find out what kind of church style my friend goes to if you want there national . PM me if you like and I'll ask him.

  Jackson did one good thing he was able to get rid of the private bank ruining the country when he was president and a private central bank staid out of power for about 70 years until Wilson was duped into signing a bill allowing a new private back called the Federal Reserve. Its crazy to think his picture was ever allowed to be on a Federal Reserve Note.

  it has been 21 years since the 1995 article that pretty much buried the idea of the '1914 generation'.. remember those guys?

  the ones born in 1914 that would still be alive when the end of the system arrived.. i'm glad i'm old enough to remember going from door to door, preaching this belief.

  the reason i say that is because i have a lot of 'still in' jw friends and family.

  What many people don't realize is the generation of 1914 were actually born about 1900 because they had to be old enough to see and understand the events that took place in 1914. It was only much later in the 1980s that the Borg started reducing the age from 14-15 years old to them only having to be about 10 then younger then finally only having to be born in 1914 .
