i just signed my son up for soccer, he is only 6 and has never played before.
last week at soccer camp, i overheard one of the mothers saying, she had a conversation with the coach.
he said there were alot of really great players this time around, but also alot of really bad ones.
I'm not contradicting because a certain percentage of parents can be over the top, but I think you can be proud of your kids achievements and brag about them without putting others down and being psycho. Clearly you have run into some who can't do this.
I actually like to hear parents go on about their kids. And are they living through their kids? Yes, to an extent, but aren't we also doing that when we are proud of their academic acheivments (and pressure them to do well) and when they get good jobs or marry well (whatever that means)?
As a coach the ones who really got to me - were the parents who could never show up to see their children play. Those kids know who is in the stands - even the coolest of the cool are looking out to see if Mom or Dad is there to see them.

i think its because he ate a big rawhide chew, its the only thing i can figure out.
anyway last night just about bedtime he starts barking and wants out.

I gave our puppy mexican food a while ago. That didn't work out well. I now call him the red assed dog even though things got better. The idiot would eat mexican food right now though if I put it in his dish.

I can tell you what won't work. Steak, beer and ice cream - a diet I've been on for years, but the last three have really gotten to me. A bunch of added pounds that I need to shed.
(drinking water now and walking the dog and eating less and am pissed off about all of it, except walking the dog)

We just had a young boy die here Sunday. Simply going too fast and not wearing his seat belt.
I'll be taking my son to the funeral and hoping to God it makes an impression. He knew the boy.
when i was single and not dating anyone, i bought myself flowers if i felt like it...they just add that extra touch to the home.. .
but when dating, i tend to not buy them as much, because i don't want the guy to feel bad.. .
for instance right now.. my bf has messed up big time and although i would prefer he picked me up flowers for just the 'i am thinking of you" kind of thing.. i realize most guys do not do that... but he keeps talking about picking me up flowers.. he has for a month!

I quit buying flowers a long time ago. I've only bought one flower for my wife (when we were dating). It wasn't valentines day, it wasn't her birthday, she wasn't pissed off at me, it was just an ordinary day. I went out to do some running around and just picked one up for her. It was completely a surprise.
And it would seem that the next will be a complete surprise as well. Don't spoil her.

i know that cafeterias were still in use in '72 when i left.
It stopped in the 80's with the "simplified feeding program"
The reason: Too much time and people to prepare the food who were then missing assembly parts.
