I'd say to him "I'm throwing you a party when you are 36, because I'm sure they can't tell the future - I've been through that before - by the way did she charge you for this information? Yep, I've been through that before as well. See you at the party!"

Jehovah will first cause your heart to beat heavily. You then begin to sense the taste of blood in your mouth. And finally, you feel a distinct impression on your forehead.
Well at least you can answer the question that I have asked multiple times.
But I will say that offering a threat to anyone that ridicules you will be remembered by Jehovah is a bit high and mighty and that to anyone who claims to be of God and is not will also be remember by Jehovah.
So no ridicule from me, but be careful as you speak for Jehovah

How you got nabbed? Who turned you in - family / friend? How they handled the JC? Did the CO get involved? What the nature of your apostasy was? Was it what you said over and over or was it what you were suspected of thinking? Did you get caught reading CoC?
Finally - How has your DFing affected your family and self?
Whatever your story was/is.
I am very curious about this and I think a collection would be very educational to defining "apostasy" in practical DFing terms.
Might make a nice addition to the Best of....

Studying the new "Keep on the Watch!" brochure - The Illustrations
by ozziepost indubs now are using their newly released "keep on the watch!
" brochure to "invite" the lapsed, the recently interested, the unsuspecting to commit themselves to "god's earthly organisation".
the trouble is that the writing department have used this glossy brochure to misrepresent the 'real' truth.

But there is more! Just turn to page 7 of the brochure. It shows four small pictures with the caption "Global preaching of the good news". One of them shows a man (dressed in smart jacket and tie - of course!) supposedly witnessing to another man. Now look carefully. He holds an open Bible in his left hand whilst holding his briefcase/witnessing bag in his right hand.
So what's wrong? This. How did he turn the pages of his Bible?
Is this actually an issue you have with this brochure or tongue in cheek?

polygamy was practised without criticism in the old testament.

Already it starts.
by Fleur inmy grandmother hasn't even been put to rest yet and already, my mother starts with "you know that grandma's greatest wish was for you to get reinstated.".
then, one of my siblings tells me that another of my siblings not only said she wouldn't come to grandma's memorial if i went but also that sibling who called me should not still be talking to me; even though i called her to tell her that grandma died.. i am facing the fact that my family may not even give me details of the memorial directly because they won't want me to go.
i don't know if i want to go to another funeral that is really just a commercial for the wts instead of talking about the person who is gone at all.

Just tell them you have converted to Samaritian. The WT likes to BLAST the Jews of the day for being haughty to the Samaritians while Jesus got chummy with them.
If they shun a Samaritian they will look like a Pharasie.
