  Voting and elections

  i've been thinking about the fact that jws dont vote in elections.

  the main reason for this, i guess is that they shall not be a part of this world and so on.

  there was no election in the times of jesus, so yes i understand that it needs an intepretetion, but why is that intepreted that they shouldnt vote?

  i know many who were witnesses hate their past, their decisions, their wasted time.. but you know what??

  it's not so bad now.

  at least we are out, either mentally, physically or both.. and now, we know better!.

  New Dan Brown Book——Inferno

  so, i'm a huge dan brown fan, well was, i mean i still am, but i'm studying for my b.a.- english literature, and after realizing that a good book need not have a dead body, or a cop my views on good, and entertaining literature has changed drastically.

  that even goes for the wt literature, which i view as propaganda, mytholgy andwell you get the picture.

  anyway, i am excited for this book.

  What happens before a Judicial Committee?

  i can't get into much detail, but i might have been caught doing something natural and fun that the gb would have a fit over.

  (i'm not sure at this point if i was seen).

  the elders have called a meeting of the entire body tonight, which is strange since they usually meet on weekends.. i've been worrying and sweating like crazy since then, which i think is the programmed jw guilt switch in my mind going off like crazy.. what i want to know is:.

  Question about convention speaker procedure

  so i know they have someone monitoring everything that gets said from the platform.

  what happens if the speaker gets way off script?

  for example, one of our fading elders decides to just start saying what he knows.

  Clawing out of poverty via (E)ducation, not education

  okay, so i've been what i believe is called a, "lurker", on this site for about four years.

  i honestly don't remember how i stumbled on to it, but i totally get everyone here.

  i'm a, "born in", pinoneered for like six-teen years, servered where the need is great several times, and even went to the, as the name alludes to, mts before it became a watered down theocratic ministry school.
