I hope you all fight that law tooth and nail, as I can see many abuses coming from that.

i will be, i just cant decide where.
im trying to tie it all into my vacation, but i might just have to drive a ways for a 1 day picket within my region.
some locations i have considered are amarillo tx, cleveland oh, duluth ga, biloxi ms, columbia sc, huntsville al, little rock ar, and possibly johnson city tn, but kinda doubtful there.
I have never picketed a convention before, but I have picketed kingdom halls. I have various signs that I use. Will it offend them? probably. I plan to call the TV Stations on the morning of the picketing, im sure that will have them all riled up.

anybody else seen this film (he asks knowing that loads probably have) - the documentary was released in 1986 and features raymond franz and other key ex-jws at that time.
the style of presentation is very 70s.
i managed to grab a high quality mpg from a friend.
Yes I have that video, and although its very good, it does seem very 70's even though it was done in the 80's. I like those cartoon segments in there the best.

could anyone confirm or deny if the sisters code of dress still prohibits the wearing of trousers?.
Well in Ohio and Kentucky both, "sisters" wear pants quite frequently in their leisure time they just werent allowed to wear them to meetings. For some reason though in the early 1980's it was frowned upon to wear designer jeans, men or women, especially if they were tight. I imagine nowadays with the baggy look being in style they force their kids to wear tight jeans just to be different from the rest of the kids.
I have a friend at work and he says that in Colorado all of the JW women wore ankle length dresses and hair in a bun, I found that hard to believe and suggested they were pentecostal women, he swears they were JW.
No matter what the style of clothes the Elders will always try to make you stand out and be different. Beards are another example of this.

Dayton Ohio will definitely be out--too much family there.

Rebel8, the signs says 1.4 billion in sales and no taxes, not even one food pantry, a cult of greed.
we went through amarillo a few years ago on our way to colorado, and i absolutely loved the area, and i have wanted to go back ever since.
just outside of town heading north towards dalhart the lanscape starts to take on the feel of the old west.
there are canyons, mesas, and buttes.
Dede, yes there is a waterpark there called Splash Amarillo I believe, There is also an amusement park there too. They have Chuckwagon dinners out there where they take you out by the canyon in a covered wagon and cook steaks and sing western songs. There's all kinds of neat stuff out there that everyone will enjoy.
Country-girl, You know how I love those canyons and mesas, thats all I talked about while we was out there, that and cactus too. After living so many years in this rainforest in East Tennessee, I would love to see some more arid climates-LOL
