Children dont have any choice, they are forced into this crap by their parents.
By the way, Jesus wouldnt stand by and let children die or be molested. As bad as the Pharisees were they would have given their children blood transfusions if they needed it, although that technology wasnt around then.
I want to do whatever I can to expose this lying organization to the world, so hopefully fewer children will have to suffer.

Its possible that it could very from region to region. Areas that have experienced a high percentage of JW child molesting probably have a very negative attitude of JW's. Here in East Tennessee where there has been very little negative media coverage of the JW's, I find that they are mostly positive towards the JW's.
When the JW's called on my Dad back in the early 1960's, Im sure he was unaware of the JW's and didnt know anything about them-that is the trick they use to get people involved in their organization. Its possible that if there had been alot of negative media coverage in Dayton Ohio at that time that he might not have joined in the first place.

Well I make sure to tell them that I was a JW and tell them my personal experiences, I also let them know things to ask JW's when they come to their door, I give them a heads up. Most people arent stupid and they will be able to see through the lies of the JW organization. My goal is that there will come a time when the average person will hear the words "Jehovahs Witness" and think of pedophiles, children dying, torn families, etc etc etc. Most people Defd, contrary to what your organization teaches you do not despise JW's, they have an apathetic attitude. That persecution complex is a bunch of crap.
Defd- There are people who picket Catholic Churches, does that make them have the truth also?

I have had lots of success speaking to the "worldly" passerby's while picketing. I dont picket with the hopes of pulling JW's away from the WT, but mainly do it as a public service to warn the unsuspecting public. I am not mean, nor do I scream when I picket. Jehovah's Witnesses mostly will ignore the picketing anyway, but the public is where my concern is directed.

I do remember seeing some guy at the Indianapolis convention that stood on the street corner wearing signs that said "the end of the world is nigh" but I dont think he was Apostate, just some other religious person.

my wife and i went out for breakfast this morning, as we usually like to do.. however, today we were in the mood for ham with our breakfast, so we hit our "ham" breakfast restaurant.
we have different restaurants we frequent depending on what we feel in the mood for eating.
this little restaurant is in a small town next to ours, on a side street, and if you didn't live in this town, you probably would never find it.
Well I like anything buffet, so with that in mind I eat alot at the Golden Corral, Ryans Steakhouse, Great American Buffet. I also love Chinese. There is a mexican restaurant near us called El Chico's and they have an all you can eat special and the food is excellent. My favorite pizza place is Marion's Pizza in Dayton Ohio-this is where I had the Dayton Apostafest back in June. The pizza there is the best. Lately I have been having cravings for Arby's Roast Beef, and I love their Big Montana sandwich

To DarthYHWH-- I too was at that columbus convention, it was either 1991 or 1992. I didnt really think they were wacko's, I was actually tickled to see them out there. I dont believe they were XJW's as I asked the woman there what church they were with and she said "Church of Christ". Its possible that some of them were Apostates, but I didnt get that vibe when I was there, I just saw them as a bunch of church people picketing our convention. By the way, what part of Ohio you from? I'm originally from Dayton.

they make a huge deal over how the co is coming and we have to show appreciation for his visit.
did the co ever do anything special for you during his visit?
We had a relatively young circuit overseer stay with us once for a visit, he was from Hawaii and brought us a box of macadamia nut chocolates. He seemed like a decent person, very friendly and had personality. Most of the Circuit Overseers I remember were very bland and stern faced.

I picketed my very first convention this year out west in Amarillo Texas while I was on vacation. I had a good time doing it, but I arrived on Sunday about 1/2 hour before the closing. I wish I had been there on opening day, I might have called the TV stations down to film. I was the only one picketing that convention, but then again there could have been other picketers on fri or sat. While growing up back in the 70's and 80's I saw very few picketers, I wish I could have met some of them back then. I felt pretty bad growing up because I knew that the "org" wasnt quite right, and I knew it was messing me up back then, but not being able to see other XJW's working to expose it only made me feel isolated in my beliefs. If I would have seen some picketers I would have felt more empowered and know that I wasnt the only one who disagreed with the WT.
