sorry, to be so blunt- for a whole day i have watched people here patting themselves on the back- we're a large army, oohh, look out wt, we might do something, well not today or tomorrow, but someday!

maybe, i have to just accept that a lot of jw's who are exiting the kh by the back door will never find a backbone to stand up to mummy and elder daddy.. jw's have a learned ability to see themselves in a better light than everyone else sees them.

ask a jw, if they are a charitable religion and they would likely all say they are, but when pressed to name a charity they will be unable to do so.

Have you ever looked into Body Language. According to wikipedia it "is a form of non-verbal communication, consisting of body pose, gestures, and eye movements". I got several books about it while in business.

Had I ever wanted a picture depicting an a rrogant, haughty, condescending, self righteous, pompous individual. Your avatar would be an excellent example.

I am not saying you are any of those things. I am just saying that the picture you have chosen to represent you, portrays those things.

Moshe, we are so lucky to have people of your calibre on the board.

Your warm, humble, empathetic, non judgmental attitude is so calming to the soul.

I know that if I ever had a problem you would listen with an understanding, open heart and give advice, both wise and caring.

I know you would never let your own bias, personality or experience get in the way of a thoughtful, compassionate summation of the situation.

Those of us who are going through the trauma of losing all we have loved in this word, really appreciate your non judgmental, loving approach.

It’s so comforting to know we have loving people like you to take the place of our family and loved ones.

Can a JW take a transfusion of hemoglobin if the count is low?

probably been answered before but does anyone know if transfusions of hemoglobin are allowed by the boys in charge?

It is a fraction of red blood cells. I think it is about 97%.

The other three percent is the sac in which the hemoglobin is stored.

So the short answer is that since 2000 Holy Spirit changed it's mind and now it's OK.

The trouble with fading as your leaving strategy

whatever your chosen strategy for leaving jws, the fundamental truth is that there is no clean / simple exit.

the mind control, the manipulation of normal family relationships etc will make any strategy very difficult at times.

the key issue is to know this ahead of time and be prepared, as best you can.. we've all chosen leaving strategies acording to our personal circumstances, preferences and learning from others.

I see from some of the responses that self-righteousness and judgmentalism , the two traits we all took to heart when we were earnest dubbies, do not necessarily go away when some of us leave the organization. Which is too bad, since the single most important thing you can learn once you are away from that toxic atmosphere is: Everyone's mileage varies .
