So a man walks into a Kingdom Hall for the first time...
by sabastious in...he's wearing sloppy casual clothing, comes in after the song and prayer.
he sits down in the backrow and puts his feat up on the row ahead of him.
he looks very relaxed and starts to intently listen to the public talk.. people start looking back at him, wondering how he could be so brazen.

Steward or Manager?
by Haelcer inin english edition nwt we read:.
luke 12:42 and the lord said: who really is the faithful steward, the discreet one, whom his master will appoint over his body of attendants to keep giving them their measure of food supplies at the proper time?.
but in russian edition we read:.

Interesting question.
Of course the Russian NWT is a translation of the English NWT. Maybe the one doing the translating thought is sounded more appropriate.

You ever go through extended moments where nothing satisfies you, to the point you wouldn't mind dying?
by miseryloveselders indon't get me wrong, this isn't a call for help or anything like that.
i'm not about to do anything stupid, just feeling a little down and exhausted tonight.
i feel defeated, even though i don't feel as if i'm battling anything.

How Many People Are Still Happy That They Married Their Mate?
by minimus ini know of someone that has made no bones about being somewhat unhappily married.
they got married because they "fooled around" and felt it was the "right thing to do".. i wonder how many people are unhappily married?

50 yrs +.
We still kiss and cuddle every day. (But that's not all we do.)
I thought I loved him on our wedding day, but I didn't know what love was.
I love him more than life itself, and they are not just words. He is my reason for living.

My personal thoughts on Ray Franz
by Terry inthe death of ray franz hit me harder than i would have thought.. i had to reflect for awhile....alone......and quietly.. .
after all, fine people die every day and some of them are indispensable, yet, we go on....don't we?.
but, ray franz was something that can only be described in the phrase sui generis (one of a kind).. my task was to ask myself what it was that made ray so singular, potent and admirable without a trace of scandal or ill will attached to his memory.. .

Thank you Terry.
I don't know how I missed it before, but I must say now:
Your first post on this thread was a beautiful, powerful work of truth.
Thank you

by yknot in(( hardcopy link of boe ltr pdf : http://www.sendspace.com/file/1gncdo ))... in my best 'theocratic' voice trying to mimic a service meeting conductor (giggles) ..."if you have acrobat you can insert this behind the other boes in the ks10 pdf, or if not consider downloading and keeping it in the same file as your ks10 for future need to know..... i chose to 'highlight' what i thought might be of interest to the forum in the below transcript but of course it is not limited!.
to all bodies of elders.

So according to the WBTS the positive things worth reporting are:
any privileges the publisher or his family members have enjoyed, such as assignments on the Theocratic Ministry School, working with the Regional Building Committee, auxiliary pioneer service, and so forth.
Funny how that doesn't tally with Jesus' list of things to look for:
For I became hungry and YOU gave me something to eat; I got thirsty and YOU gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and YOU received me hospitably; 36 naked, and YOU clothed me. I fell sick and YOU looked after me. I was in prison and YOU came to me.’

No matter your age, the loss of a loving mother is a catastrophe.
Having her well into your adult life was a blessing. But the pain is just a great.

by BluesBrother insorry about the mistaken false post and it would not do an edit...the post is to show this video which is similar to what i saw on t v .
http://au.news.yahoo.com/video/national/-/watch/23857523/volunteers-descend-on-brisbane/.
now what does the wt say in the case of disaster, that the world only helps themselves and selfishness and opportunism rule .

It's good to see and there seems to be good leadership too, with the army being brought in. Hopefully some JWs will be volunteering with the general community.
I wouldn't too much money on it. They may be helping but it will probably be their own.

I congratulate you for being so calm. In view of your background that must have been hard.
It seems to me that is at least unstable. Perhaps you may be able to identify him tomorrow, and security can check on him.
Take care, for yourself and those little kids who need their father.
