so a few months ago, a friend sent me an actual copy of finished mystery which was published in 1917 (not a pdf download... the actual book).
i must say, this was the most disturbing book i have ever had the displeasure of reading.
but i only read it because this was the main publication that was being distributed worldwide when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower in 1918 and i basically wanted to see for myself what jesus saw in the wt that would compel him to choose this religious corporation over all other religious denominations.. anyway, if anyone is interested in knowing the actual contents of this book, here are some bullet points i put together from some of the notes i took as i read the book:.

here i am - born in truth, hard-core spiritual everything all my life, early reg.pioneer, ms, elder, assembly parts, tour at bethel, etc, married now...... i'm trying to examine jw teachings a little closer...... i've spent the last two weeks reading many many posts, info , references on where ex-jw's are coming from.
i'm kind of concerned about a few things lately..... honestly - some points make sense to me - some don't - here are my general thoughts:.
-wt getting un membership for access to library - doesnt bother me - some passports and other governement documents have similar forms and requirements..... -blood issue - some counterpoints to the jw 'rules' makes sense (original intent of scripture is unbled animals, white blood cells similar in mothers milk) etc -however a lot of 'apostate' reasonings and proof are inaccurate.

I am assuming, by the time you spent on your post, that you are trying to get him to your way of thinking.
Perhaps it would help your cause if you invested in an old book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People".

when a poster uses derogatory word-play on witness terms - what is the purpose? Kingdumb Hell? PLEASE - being offensive and childish is no way to influence a questioning mind. I understand the rage and past hurt but cmon - be mature....

i've been invited to a special talk as part of a zone visit by a (yet to be named) gb member in may at bowes road , london.
apparently it is being simultaneously piped to quite a few assembly halls across the uk so that many more jws can "enjoy the privilege"..

Covering up sex abuse by those in charge is a potential risk for all religions who say they are God's appointed.
Abusing children is hardly a sign of Godly appointment or even approval, so it has to be hidden.
However with the Catholic church it is just an extension of the abuse of the inquisition.
