How ethical is it to sow DOUBT in the minds of sincere Jehovah's Witnesses?
by nicolaou inwe know that we can't always take the direct approach and we know that even a short, reasonable discussion is often out of the question with jw's we may love dearly so we often try to place a little doubt in their minds.
we want them to start questioning cherished beliefs.. is this fair of us?
are we placing our our own agendas ahead of their needs?

This is a serious problem!
My husband and I have each been active Witnesses for over sixty years. Most of our immediate family on both sides are Witnesses. Most of the males are elders or ms’s and their wives and kids unthinking followers.
Some we may warn, but for others we would refrain.
The reason we choose not to "educate" some is, that is many ways, the "club" is good for them.
I will give two examples.
1. Older couple, in their seventies. He was a "Congregation Servant" before elders were even thought of, and an elder since the arrangement started in the ‘70’s. They are very happy and have a great support system in their particular congregation. We cannot give them that same support, so feel it wrong to take their hope and support.
2. Younger couple who have three little children, one a baby. Again in their particular congregation there is a good support system. Mainly because there are many other young families and they seem to understand and help each other. Again, for several reasons we cannot fill the support role, so are reluctant to take from them what they have, and need, at the moment.

Past few days have been very emotional for me ,when will it get better ?
by troubled mind insince my mom passed in january my dad has wanted me to go through her things and clear out her bedroom.
i procrastinated long enough so the past two days i have been sorting through it all .
i feel like i have been punched in the gut .

I was in such a hurry to get the garbage out this morning I forgot about that bag . It had memento's from mom's life stuff she had saved since childhood. I am going to be sick
That must have been so hard to cope with.
Yes I agree, going through your mother's treasures is going to be among the worst hours of your life.
Many of us have that behind us now, so we really do understand your pain.
Crying and sharing with others helps. Come back and vent as you need.

Reexamine site status?
by CharlieBrownsLovelyDaughter inabout 6 weeks ago i went to the reexamine site to look for a wt book.
the site was down and i didn't think anything of it, as it has been down from time to time when i have gone there in the past.. i tried again today and the same 'page under repair' mssg was there along with a 'suspended page' notation in the address bar.. does anyone know if the reeaxmine site is down for good?.

The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures in pdf format?
by IndependantThinker ini've spent the last 2 months listening to talks of former and current jw's, reading, using the wt cd, going through my collection of watchtowers from 1879-1947 (which i do have on .pdf if anyone is interested) and books i've managed to not lose in many moves since 1964.. is there a .pdf of the 1969 the kingdominterlineartranslationofthegreekscriptures anywhere?
i got one as a gift in 1969 when was a little girl and after going through many boxes of publications i can't find mine.
i need it to collaberate some things i have heard and unless i can read it for myself i can't take someone else's "saying" that the kit says something.
