In my country I’m glad the government took the steps it took, to get on top of the situation. There was no tolerance to people who thought quarantine rules didn’t apply to them. One person, who decided to play dumb ass, was publicly named and shamed on TV. Hefty fines were given. The point is that it worked. Covid is all but over in this country, and we are been held up as an example internationally as to how it was handled. Good on us I say, and I’m so thankful I don’t live in the USA.

new situation in world helpful to org?
by Magnum insometimes new situations can provide cover for one’s mistakes or intentions.
for example, suppose that i crack the windshield in my dad’s car one night.
i go home, park the car in its usual spot in the yard, and go to bed without telling my dad because i’m scared and i’m trying to think of a way out of the situation.

The org wouldn’t be silly enough to sanction meetings in homes. This is the main reason why the stopped the book study, as it was just to high of a risk. It is easier for a perpetrator to carry CSA in a private home than it is in a public building with few or no private areas. I’m sorry but I’m my opinion it just isn’t going to happen.
If they have the long term view of becoming an e-religion, so as to free up their cash holdings in property. Now would be the time to do it. But I just can’t see this working either. There is nothing like face to face contact. This could speed the process up even more with people exciting, because of dissatisfaction.

Fading out during the pandemic?
by Kingdavid41 ingiven the current world situation with the covid-19 pandemic and so many social distancing, staying at home and self quarantining.
all meetings are currently being held on zoom assemblies and conventions are viewed via the website .
this is the perfect time to fade-out and you probably won’t even be noticed!

I personally know of a couple where covid was the deciding factor in their physically leaving the cult. Mind you they were already PIMO way before covid started. They just needed a catalyst to push them out the door.

Often we have people turn up in a similar situation to yours. The majority here will advise you against forming a relationship with this person, and for good reason. My advise would be to sit your boyfriend down and discuss the below link. Depending on his reaction will be a good indicator of how the relationship is likely to end up. For example; If he just refuses to watch it or says “These are apostate driven lies, motivated by Satan.”
or
Can openly discuss these concerns and acknowledge that these are people who have been seriously hurt by the culture with in the group. Then this will be you answer.

How have Jehovah`s Witnesses ever gotten away with being a Tax Exempt Religion ?
by smiddy3 ini can never get my head around this one ?
don`t the powers that be ever really investigate religions that claim exemption from paying taxes because they claim they are a not for profit religion ?.
you would have to be a brain dead imbecile not to see that the religion known as the" watchtower bible and tract society" otherwise known as "jehovah`s witnesses" are nothing more than a religious publishing house that have made x amount of $$$$$ over the years since their inception in the late 1800`s to this day.

Repercussions for sexual immorality
by Veryconflicted inhello, i was hoping to get some clarification about how people are disciplined for immorality as a jw.
i became involved with a co-worker a few years ago, she was fairly aggressive and she initiated a physical relationship very quickly.
at the time i did not know she was married and a jw.

Is there a WT - Aspergers Connection?
by Sea Breeze inso after much research, i'm convinced that my dad and both my older brothers have aspergers.
they can come across as jerks at times especially when their guard is down.
however, they can hide it extremely well when they want to, with pointed effort.

Just as a side point. I have a great aunt who lived and breathed JWisim. Regular pioneer and married to an elder for many decades. Now sits in a nursing home, where she has been forgotten.

Article: Kazakhstan: Court Gives Victory to Former Jehovah’s Witnesses
by AndersonsInfo inhttps://watchtowerdocuments.org/kazakhstan-court-gives-a-victory-to-former-jehovahs-witneeses/.
the events described in the following report began over a year ago.
however, we did not receive correspondence with details regarding the court victory until late april 2020. you are about to read a disturbing account of exactly how representatives and elders of jehovah’s witnesses tried to intimidate and frighten a child in order to regain control over the adult members of a local kingdom hall.

Jehovah provided zoom?!
by Tim207 inseems like every zoom meeting someone comments how happy they are that jehovah has provided us with this wonderful app called zoom.
does that mean jehovah knew about covid back in 2011 when zoom was founded?
why do people thank god for things people create?

Hard to believe that not to long ago the only place to get Jehovah’s spirit and direction was at the KH.
