  Pass on cars to attend Assemblies?

  i have just read a post about february 2025 (i suppose) announcements in italy saying that from now on at assemblies they need a pass, given by elders, to put on cars.. is that possible/true?.

  American Primeval and the Mormons

  just finished season 1 on netflix.. holy crap, i had no idea of the history of the mormons!.

  i always thought they were like the jws, or the quakers, but they were full on fascists committing massacres.. i'm sure they are hating having more people be aware of their past, but i gotta say, it is more event-filled than the jw history..

  If it wasn't for Knorr taking the religion to the world. Wtbts probably would have ended up like the bible students. A fundamentalist religion confined to the north eastern borders of the United States.

  It wasn't until I left the JWs and stumbled upon the LDS that I realised just how fortunate we are been Ex-JWs. Well at least from a historical and theological perspective.

  What you cannot say about JW parents

  i’m guiding a young person through some difficulties.

  at least some of the family including a parent and grandparents are/were jw.

  so there are some insecurities, without going into detail, young people are often worried that they may be ejected from the home after reaching a certain age if they offend their parents (totally normal feeling).. what i wanted to say is: a loving parent wouldn’t reject you because you did x, if anything they are expecting it, it is totally normal for you to do this.

  a few on here (and of course many on the ex-jw reddit forum) have mentioned that wt hq just recently (like in the past couple months) put out a video warning against the praising of jw actors, taking photos with them, etc.

  to not do it anymore.

  Jw / LDS have the opposite problems.

  LDS are the most wealthiest religion on earth. Surpassing that of the Catholic Church, and comparable to that of Apple / Elon Mosk. However, despite their wealth they have a more inferior doctrinal and historical foundation to the church. Many aspects of the church has now been proven to be false e.g BoA, Kinderhook plates. The LDS would more likely run out of members before it runs out of money.

  The JWs have the opposite problem. For a religion of it size,I'd say its assets would be quite modest. Well at least when compared to that of the LDS. However the JW theology has more credibility, as it was largely based on mainstream Christianity. With all the on going legal battles, I have to wonder how deep their pockets are. They would go bankrupt before it splintered into smaller groups.

  i wonder how these sisters feel about their private details being available to these creepy elders?.

  I totally believe Wt counting methods are accurate and correct. It generally aligns with the census of x2, and the census roughly aligns with memorial figures, of around 20 million attendees. Weather you take 9 million Wt count or 20 million memorial count, it's entirely up to you

  This reminds me of a time when, for a bible reading, I took a print out for instead of a physical bible. I remember at the time been told of publicly from the platform not to do it. I remember because I felt so embarrassed. My how times have changed.

  Slim I would go as far to suggest that the JWs could even be bigger than the Mormon church. I heard recently that there could be fewer than 1 million temple recommend holders world wide.

  Interesting the lds just built a huge temple on prime piece of land not far from where I live. On the few times I've ventured into the city the temple car park is pretty much empty.
