I pioneered because I felt pressure to do so. It was what I had to do in order to put my hat in the ring for a position as a servant. That is the ONLY reason I pioneered. I was so burned out after pioneer school that I would not even talk at the doors, I would let everyone else handle them.

Pioneering- A social event?
by freedom96 ini was never a pioneer, so i don't know.
i am just guessing from the ones i knew, and by their actions.
the posting a little while ago about pioneers who were on welfare made me think of this.. i wonder how many pioneered simply for the social aspect of it, compared to how many really felt it in their heart.. here is an example to think about.

A Few Thoughts On Barred Posters.
by Englishman inthere are posters that are naturally disruptive and attacking in their behaviour, and after a while their departure is greeted with relief by most folk here.
we've all had experience of people like that.. my biggest concern is for the poster who is simply amazingly volatile, yet is actually a big-hearted person beneath all of the bravado.
i think of them as "garbage mouths", because they just can not contain themselves, especially when they have had a few drinks or the adrenaline is running on high.. maybe it would be a good idea, if, rather than actually barring someone, they were to receive a compulsory "time-out" period, say of 7days or so.

Good idea E-man! I have had to do some banning on another Forum that I belong to and I think I will pass along the suggestion to them as well.

It's more than "just a forum"
by nilfun inok, i just read a post that has me close to tears.
(it wasn't on any of the threads started or replied to by me).
i know i am really no more than just a stranger to most all of you.. i heard tell that peeps posting to this site aren't "real people", that we're all just names on a screen.. wrong.

I feel the same way quite as you do Nilfin.
The people here on this forum have done more for me emotionaly than all of the people that I have called friends while in the troof. I have spoken to only 3 people on this forum either by phone or in person but I feel that they are some of my best friends.
Thank you Nilfin for reminding me of this.
Thank all of you as well for being there for me when I needed you.

Goodbye to everyone..
by Lin infirst, i'd like to thank everyone here that has befriended me for your kindness and support.
having you to talk to after leaving the org made the shunning of everyone i ever knew and family much more bearable.
i initially came here for emotional support due to shunning and also to have questions regarding doctrine answered, which has been accomplished.

Are pets important in your life?
by JH ini always loved little animals, and i always will have one.
i noticed that most families do have pets.
for people living alone, a pet is a good companion.
