  Whenever I run into JW that shun me

  i haven't been df or da, just left.

  i run into jw's in restaurants, grocery stores and on the street and they act so stuck up, or give me a dirty look if i smile at them and say hello.. i then think to myself, what reason do they have to act so arrogant toward me?

  they support a religion that promotes the secrecy of child molestation.

  I've been disfellowshiped for 20 years now....at first i would just get out of their way....I didn't hate them. For a long time i wasn't exposed to the "apostate propaganda" about how they truly are, the internet didn't exist, so I didn't know and still thought they were perfect. I tried a few times to get reinstated but everytime I noticed their lack of empathy and forgiveness, so I thought it better to just move on. My familly is there and I have had very little to do with them. Actually I have spoken to my sister once for two hours in 20 years. Her and her husband are special pioneers, you know, the ones whose shit don't stink.

  When I finally came across information that put to light their true personalities it was I who shunned them, they sense it and hate it too. But deep down I pity them, pity the way they have allowed themselves to become. No way in hell would Jesus act that way. He might choose to shun, but in rare and extreme situations, and always be willing to help you through your handicaps, if you'd be willing to do so.

  So what I do is hold their stare for maybe 5 seconds, look em deep in the eye, but show no emotion or arrogance. Just straight faced...just like you were looking through them (is there someone there kinda look....haha). At that point you will feel time freeze (they are expecting you to look down, and subdue, cause after all you are dealing with a saint), they are the ones supposed to shun you and are waiting for your acknowledgement of this. So at the right moment, before they realize you're not giving in, disconnect sideways, don't look down but just turn your head away, just as if nothing was there. If you pay attention, the moment you start turning you head you will see the expression of defeat on their face. Wait two seconds....cause they can't believe and are still frozen in disbelief....look at them again but this time with your smile of victory. Quite fun and very powerful actually. And they won't like you for it, which further proves the fact that they are wrong in their attitudes.

  this posess a seriouse problem to some youngsters within the congregations,are the elders and magazines to controlling ?????.

  ayoung couple started married life of ,without the big bang, yes ladies the husband never knew where to put it ,even three months after his wedding night he still hadnot cosumated the wedding,eventualy after 18 months the wife runs of with a worldly man, .

  are the youngsters getting married to quick / to soon.. does this show to the effect of mind control over some people ,that they are bombarded with negative all through there lives as j.w.. this is just the tip of the pencil how else are people affected by the magazines and elders,.

  5th Estate-The Patriot Missiles.

  last night's "fifth estate" was about the patriot missiles.. well it seems that during and after the gulf war, the us was claiming almost 100% accuracy in intercepting the scud missiles with the patriots.. shortly after the war, bush sr. visited raytheon, the company which manufactures the patriot missiles.

  in a speech there, and although he knew then that the accuracy was....well....0%..he still claimed 100%.. during the war, through their media cronies, they actually had footage of patriots intercepting scuds, which was all a set-up.. what they failed to mention when they talked about 100% accuracy, was that the accuracy they were talking about was that the patriots entered the same airspace as the scuds but not at the same time.

  there was not one contact with the scuds.

  Yeah...I do have the habit of going overboard once in a while....

  I guess I'm into pessimistic sensationalism.

  You could be right about the Bush and Cheney bit, but it did sound like he knew about it.

  ok bush, powell, and the rest of you...our us leaders and reps...quit using the weak in my opinion position that you don't want to compromise your sources or your tactical advantage at the onset of war to prevent you from offering up the necessary smoking gun.

  nice job powell, the phone calls were telling, the pictures too but not so much.

  we with the untrained eyes or light tables, the american public, want to believe your descriptions, but you have to know that the international community isn't so willing to trust you to the point of following you into war.

  My first thought when I saw the pictures of trucks leaving the plants was, "I hope they followed them to their destination". No mention of where they went or even that they had knowledge of where they were.

  Have You Been Divorced?

  divorce is much more common in the jehovah's witness community than they would like to admit.

  probably more so than the population in general.. if you have been divorced do you think that the watchtower society contributed to the divorce, or caused it, or is it just possible you married some jerk or abuser and divorce would have occured no matter what religion you were, or even if you had no religion?.

  possibly you got married way too young as the end was coming and there is no marriage in the resurrection if you died.

  I was 18 (1976) when I learned about the truth (yeah) and within a year I was baptized and married to a girl I had met in that same year (now this gives a new meaning to the expression "a quicky"). I wouldn't say we didn't get along but I was way too young for mariage. But it was the prospect of living without sex that pushed me into it. At the time, I guess I thought I was the only one who was horny all the time, and believed I was such a bad person for it. You know, all those impure thoughts.

  Anyway, after five years I left everything behind cause I couldn't take it anymore. We had a son, who later was forced into baptism, then disfellowshiped. For 16 years I had no contact with him. When he was 18, 3 years ago, he called me and we got together and have been in contact ever since. I appreciate his understanding, but also that he doesn't have any ill feelings over the fact that I was not there. Were good buddies.

  The irony behind it all, is that my ex's family(all dubs) were kind of happy that I stayed away cause I would have been a bad influence. Their fears that he would be just like me....kinda materialized right in front of their eyes without my input. Now that's satisfaction.

  I did learn one thing, genetics, you cannot control.

  Why is the Bible wrong?

  this week i got into two interesting conversations that i will admit that i was ill prepared for.

  one was with a jw friend of mine who wanted to know why i thought jw's were wrong.

  Yeah I guess you're right.....no you don't have to way 20 years to discuss the subject....haha. I give you the Ok.

  But as you can see by this thread, it's a play on words, but I have to admit some do have strong arguments. From my own observations, no one has been able to prove it either way. I do see however that those arguing against the veracity of the bible use a little more common sense in their analysis. In other words they use science and facts to debate their point of views, which is a lot better than just citing a few verses and saying...voila!

  I've always been a firm believer that there is a superior intelligence, anyway I hope so, but I have no proof of it, and no one has been able to prove whatsoever. We are all on our own as far as our belief system is concerned. Our realities are all different. So before you want to change someone's reality, make sure your own is correct, cause history has proven many realities wrong.

  I have to agree with REM when he says "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

  What I meant in my reply was ...You can only prove what you know is true. When you have all the facts straight in your mind. If you need to ask for extra input, or extra facts, then it means that you cannot prove it to yourself, then are not ready to prove it to someone else. More study is needed.

  Especially when you set up for such an endeavour as proving the bible wrong. Big job...Big case. And very debatable.
